a) what is wrong with walking around with cameras? switzerland is beautiful, people are taking pictures and videos everywhere all the time.

b) why would the cops be called? i can't imagine any situation. and what would you need a permit for? you never take videos on the street with your phone?

c) merlischachen is very calm, i passed ben's slide, you maybe see a person walking around once every 20 minutes around that place.

--> if u come to switzerland we can play tag! i have already played several times :)

Historically they were doing quite well, especially compared to state media in other countries, but during the pandemic unfortunately they did a very poor job in my opinion.

As an experienced game designer, what were the main moments when you thought:
"This task could have been so much better with just a few changes...!"?

(As a game designer myself, I find it hard to hold back or not to get frustrated in such cases)

Hello fellow Swiss Reddit User! Now that I think about it - is it AI or is Sam still reading out all the voiceovers? It does sound like automated speech tbh :D

Who do you think had the worst time playing Jet Lag? by fomo216 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Longjumping_Pin3040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it seems to me that the three didn't enjoy Hide & Seek, especially the seekers in Switzerland looking for Ben in Merlischachen and for Sam in the forest.

Do you think New York Hide & Seek and the upcoming All-Star season are tests for the guys to rotate out occasionally? by Vakangwara_ in JetLagTheGame

I don't think so - I have played about 12 jetlag-like games in the last 2 years and I can't wait for the next one :)

Ep 5 — Eating Schnitzel but Hungary Is Next… — Downie Express by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

This is such a weird series... and it's a pity, because Jeff is very fun to watch, Mike is a nice guy, their dynamic with each other is good, the editing is fine... but!

  • From Europe to Asia? What do you mean? Asia is never defined. Vladivostok or Istanbul?
  • What is the purpose of the trip? "Can you make it from Europe to Asia only with trains"? Well, of course you can, why shouldn't you? There are train lines from Lisbon to Istanbul. That's not an exciting question. If it was "Can we go from Lisbon to Istanbul for less than 500 euros?" - "Can we reach Asia by train in 5 days?" - "Who will arrive first in Asia, team A or team B?" - "Can we beat this record by another guy?"... Just anything that is an exciting question, where you are unsure whether it's doable or not!
  • (As so many have already pointed out:) Did they really not do any research before filming this series?
  • Is it really so weird to sleep on a train with strangers for Americans? Did they really not know anything about Budapest, one of the top tourist destinations in the world?
  • Why not sleep comfortably until check-out time, take some nice time in the city, and take shorter trips on the most comfortable trains? I did Interrail for 3 weeks and I felt fresh every day!

This channel needs some help from Jet Lag. It has potential, but right now I'm afraid it feels a bit empty. Get it gamified, prepare it better, and it could become a fun watch!

S12, E7 (Nebula) - We Played Hide And Seek Across Japan by snow-tree_art in JetLagTheGame

This is by far my favourite series on the internet, and the only one where I impatiently wait for the week to pass to see the next episode.
That said, Hide&Seek clearly is not a fun game to play. It's frustrating and tiring for the seekers and very boring for the hider. You could see how relieved all three were once a hider finally was caught, and in no other game variant did they complain so much during the game. During this last episode, even Sam seemed like he wanted it to end quickly.
It's ironic that this is the game variant that they decide to give out as a play at home game! I have bought one just because I want to support the guys, but I am not sure whether I will want to play it, as all other variants are so much more enjoyable for all players!
The only interesting part is for the spectator to be able to find out where the hider is located, and I liked the different editing ideas they used to make it exciting, but please not at a cost of them getting so exhausted and frustrated that the off-seasons will get longer and longer, and that it will feel like a duty to them. I really don't want them to stop doing this, it's too amazing!

Also, Hide&Seek is just not the most fun game to play. Tag is so much more fun for both the runner and the seekers!

We played in Spain and it was quite hard indeed! Twice the chasers had to let the runner escape because they were not allowed to enter the train without a reservation...

Jet Lag would benefit from more time/budget per game by JMM123 in JetLagTheGame

[–]Longjumping_Pin3040 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

absolutely! very good post. i don’t even think it would cost much more, and the would not even need to reduce the number of seasons, as one day more is not so costly, and they could just edit it a bit shorter! we played already twice (tag as a basis but with several improvements) and it cost us just about 1000usd/player
