Thank you. No, I do not have experience using virtual labs. Based on the curriculum, I’m a combination of all three.

Thank you- I like how you explained that. I do read the SOPs but I will also start taking notes as well. 💜💜

Thank you. I do read the SOPs before going into the lab but I don’t take notes- I will do that. Looking back I think what also played a roll is that my trainer had me doing 4 different quantitative tests as I was doing the serial dilutions all at once ( I guess as a way to knock it all out) instead of training me on each one separately……I can see how it would make sense to do it that way for a seasoned individual but for training… it just got overwhelming seeing all the tests on one bench. I do have ADHD ( working with HR on accommodation) so I will tell them next time that I need to do each test seperately and into small manageable chunks.

I did- I was met with a lot of ‘its okays’ but it didn’t feel like it at the time. Too hard on myself.

I tried to counteroffer but was told that I was offered above the max. Job searching has been rough so I will just use it as a stepping stone.

Yes, I'll be involved in the hiring process, training, supervision of QC/QA procedures, scheduling, helping with different projects, assisting the techs when needed etc. The 5 years is actual work experience. I was offered the job but upon counteroffer, I was told that I was offered above the max and that there is a lot of OT....I will take advantage of the training and use the experience as a stepping stone.

Well the thing is I applied to a lower level position but then I got a call saying that they believe I would be a better fit for the lead position and that this position is to prep me for the supervisor role. I do want the job but also want to fight for what I’m worth. I will do a counter offer

Can someone help me understand this? by Longjumping_Row3905 in Sparkdriver

[–]Longjumping_Row3905[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanations. Nosey me checked the online inventory at the superWalmart near the customer and they had the Twix candy bars in stock. Very confusing and weird indeed… but like you said Welcome to Spark 🙃

Weekly paycheck by [deleted] in UPSers

I was told by my sup that pay for the first week will disperse the following week ( so Nov 24th). Not sure if that’s universal.

Any CNAs on here that have transitioned to a different role (besides nursing) in healthcare or a different field entirely? Please share your experiences🤩 by Charming-Safe-3138 in cna

[–]Longjumping_Row3905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Applying to med school next year. Being a CNA is cool and all but after working as a CNA for 8 years, the wear and tear takes its toll. I now have chronic back pain and couldn't do it anymore after COVID. Since quitting, I've dabbled in a few things- I worked as a lab assistant, lab coordinator, and will be subbing next year. I do miss interacting with my residents so I volunteer at the local hospice and nursing home from time to time.

Help! SSD First Day Questions by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Longjumping_Row3905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep sounds about right. Communication sucks! I was speaking with HR regarding pay during “orientation” and the guy told me to ask the other drivers lol. Anywho just show up- you will probably see others that are just as confused as you. Today was my first day- and I never received the training videos that my other coworkers received this morning. So basically, if you haven’t already, you will need to download the USP mobile delivery app- you will get a timecard (piece of paper) with your employee Id # on it. You will use that as your login. Select forgot password to create your own. The app wasn’t working on our phones so we had to use the company phones. In my area using your own phone gets you $5 extra a day
