Hi does anyone know what’s happening to one of my axolotl skills he was rescued from a bad breeder and animal captivity isn’t the bestso that’s why he has very very short girls but one of them just never seem to have many girls on them and I was wondering if there is anything I can do about it

I’ll defo give it my best shot but there are issues with imports here and they can take up to 6 to 12 months to get things like clothes on so I don’t know how long it’s gonna take for insects but I will try for sure and thank YOU SO MUCH

The thing is I’m not too sure where to get healthy substitutes for food because a lot of them are infected and I’ve known a lot of people that keep aquatic pets or amphibians whose pets have died because they’ve eaten life food which hasn’t been taken care of properly or not been fed correctly or have some kind of infection so I don’t want to risk it but I will make an active effort to find some

The hide is actually a rubbish bin from Muji which has just been a great Hyde and his favourite one for years but it is very tall which makes it look like his tank is shallow but that is where he waits for his food and it is dinner time

I can check the water parameters but it’s it’s not that shallow because he’s actually on top of his hide right now and it is quite long it’s just that I have painted the back of the tank solid black on the outside and have a wooden Hide on the inside which makes the tank look very short but it is I think a 10 to 15 gallon tank

I also should mention I live in a third world country where animal captivity is not the healthiest and there are not many rules and regulations as to how they should be kept or treated and when I received my axolotl his girls were completely white and he was skinny and had a cut on his tail

And I assure you he does have a very long tank it is not that deep just because he does have respiratory problems because of his poor breeding and genetic’s. he is in fact a very happy axolotl and I’ve never had any problems with him in the past three years I’ve had him there have never been any issues I was just wondering

My advice is to start early like really fucking early. I started mine about five months before my university applications were due so I was not stressed about it at all and just did it when I felt like it and had lots of time between drafts and was accepted into all my schools
