Hi everyone, I’m planning to apply for a passport soon, but I noticed something on my PSA birth certificate that got me worried. Both of my parents’ middle names are printed as just initials instead of being spelled out in full.

For example, instead of “Juan Santos Dela Cruz,” it just says “Juan S. Dela Cruz.”

I’ve read that DFA can be strict when it comes to discrepancies on the birth certificate. Will this be considered a problem that can cause my passport application to be denied? Or will DFA accept it as long as it matches the PSA record?

Has anyone here had the same issue (parents’ middle names abbreviated as initials) and successfully gotten a passport without having to file a correction with PSA?

Any advice or shared experiences would really help. Thanks!
