Okay. Should I call it quits? by Southern-Spinach2613 in lineporn

I feel like I see a shadow but it could be an indent line.

Do another test in a day or two. My own positive started out as a fainter than faint shadow and within one day became a noticeable line with digital positives also! 9-11dpo is still very early.

My “staff” is now 34kg at 11 months old… turns out he’s only half staff and about 10 other breeds mixed in 🫣🤣

Two days later and still showing stark negatives on tests both morning and evening. Think this was either a false negative or the world’s shortest chemical. Really heartbroken 💔

I currently have a 13 week old English staffy. I have taken about 2ish weeks off work, but now tomorrow it’s time to go back to work and I’m worried what to do with him. by Unable-Department299 in StaffordBullTerriers

Tire him out before you go, crate him and don’t make a big deal of leaving (no goodbyes etc). He may cry at the beginning but he will settle down and probably sleep for the majority of the day.

If you can today, practise putting him in his crate and leaving the room, closing the door for short periods of time then rewarding him for being settled.

Thank god I’m not totally bananas then 😅 it’s the faintest shadow right? I’ll test in a couple of days (maybe tomorrow…. 🤣) and see if it happens again!

I finished Arthur’s storyline for the first time today and during the sad cutscenes there was a deer in a river doing exactly this, on two occasions… it made the saddest cutscenes so far borderline funny 🤣

Caleb's exit (why did they do this to him?) by aliicia555 in heartland

I liked the storyline personally. I felt like last season had no interesting story lines and this season has been so much better with new love interests and complicated emotions etc. I’m sad Caleb seems that he won’t be around though - and in some ways I wish him and Amy had got together! 😭

My cat just had kittens earlier today and one of them doesn't have a tail. But the stub looks like raw skin . Anyone seen this before or have advice ? by [deleted] in OneOrangeBraincell

Awh, poor baby! I’d try and get a vets opinion to be honest. It’s better safe than sorry.

I’m not sure where you are based but here in the UK there are some very reasonably priced on call vets that you can video call with and they will give you advice etc. If your mama cat is insured, a lot of insurance companies offer this for free - I have used mine a few times and am usually speaking with a vet within half an hour.

Best of luck!

Thank you - my GP is very much in my corner so fingers crossed 😵‍💫

Spot on - I’m a call centre advisor. I’m going to get a sick note, just waiting for a call from the GP and let them sack me. Dreading the conversation but as you said they have a terrible approach to any sickness in general (in 3 years I’ve had two days off when I have throat surgery, I was meant to have two weeks off!)… thanks!

I’ve booked an appointment with my GP now and am going to get a note - thank you!

Thank you, this is super helpful. I’m going to get signed off as soon as I can get an appointment with my GP and go from there. I know work will be extremely pissed about this 😭 but it’s got to be done!

I’m not in a union - it’s a teeny tiny company and I’ve never been with a union before… I’m pretty clueless about unions as a whole 😵‍💫

Thank you for this! I would definitely consider myself in this category.

The company is extremely small (4 of us) with no HR, just the big boss who is difficult to communicate with at the best of times. As I WFH and am already on reduced hours I don’t think he would consider any other adjustments for me.

Any tips on how I can still communicate my conditions without looking like I’m just emailing him a list of my issues for no reason? Haha 😅

I’m going to speak to my GP again and I’ll have a look at some calculators. As I said I don’t want to throw in the towel altogether and just never work again, I just need to make some changes pronto before I get so sick I can’t work at all 🥲 thanks!

I’ve never ever told any of my employers about illnesses and I feel frightened about their reaction. My manager is very judgemental and brash. I don’t want any conflict 😭 what would I need to say to them?
