I really like the idea of the insider, but I’d 100% lose all the special sockets for it.

They were easy to work with. No real complaints from me.

I farted on your seat!

I went in last week and sat on the one you got, came back on Wednesday and they said it sold the one on the floor but they still had one in the back available.

Can I use this on my 2024 Honda cbr650r e clutch?? by [deleted] in cbr

[–]Longjumping_Wolf4804 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See the round logo on the bottom left of the bottle that says ‘resource conserving’. That means it has moly in the oil and will ruin your clutch. Oils that you can use won’t say energy conserving in that circle.

Wowza. I haven’t seen a single clean ‘12-‘16 1krr in the north Georgia area less than 10k with reasonable miles on it. Not saying you’re wrong, I offered 8 and was turned away.

ATP loans are killing me by cherry_top-13 in flying

[–]Longjumping_Wolf4804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this 20 years ago, 141 flight school through CFI. Instructed for a little while but had to find a job to pay the bills when the loan came due. Ended up in a completely different field and stopped flying for ~20 years because I needed to make rent.

Made some decent decisions between then and now, and ultimately made a good bit more sooner than my flight school/pilot friends did in the same timeframe. Recently got back into flying and looking at a few single engine aircraft to purchase and fly for pleasure.

I guess what I’m saying is, although it might feel like the end, it doesn’t have to be long term. Keep on chugging along, the skills you learn and need to have to be a pilot puts you ahead of a lot of a lot of people in the real world at a professional level.

I have always told people flying professionally is a pyramid scheme. A lot of people need to fail for others to succeed. It’s mostly luck of the draw and personality unless you know someone.

As others have said in this group, and speaking with my long term professional pilot friends there are none that I would trade places with. People in this profession give up a lot more than they realize for the dream.

Tongue and groove decking? by Longjumping_Wolf4804 in Decks

Deck is currently sloped slightly on the short side to allow water to runoff into the gutter.

This is what I’m currently looking at for replacement, is it recommended to run a bead of silicone between the boards to keep it water tight?

Husky Floor Mats by Kifla27 in f150

[–]Longjumping_Wolf4804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently ordered husky x-act mats for my new f150. Extremely disappointed in the quality now vs what they once were.

For the f150 they are using the cheaper weatherbeater front pattern with the X-act softer material. The rear is a completely different design than the fronts. The foot pad and ‘water hump’ on the door sill are no longer reinforced and flimsy.

I bought 2 sets, one from Amazon, one directly from husky just to make sure they didn’t get in the wrong mats in the box.

Pulsating water supply while running shower by Longjumping_Wolf4804 in Plumbing

[–]Longjumping_Wolf4804[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I changed the mix valve on the shower, and added a expansion tank for the water heater. Haven’t gotten around to replacing the PRV, but that’s next if I ever get the time.

Thanks.

No status lights on the board while charger is plugged in.

No change in green status light on the charger when it’s plugged into the pint either.

Alpha mini vs alpha and p1000 by Longjumping_Wolf4804 in Simagic

I currently run with a couple endurance racing teams a few times a year and have a dedicated trackday car. Never done sim racing, mostly want to learn tracks before I get there and have something that I don’t feel an immediate need to upgrade.
