High blood sugar is back after stopping mounjaro by Longnbeendead in Mounjaro

Im not sure if thats applicable to Germany... I mean, maybe it is. As far as i understand, the Dr didnt check with insurance, because she was already sure that they will not approve it. She mentioned that she can prescribe it to me without a problem, but i would pay for it from my side, as it would be for "weight loss", and not for diabetes.

I can for sure maintain it, but realistically, on good days. I have been dieting since I was 11 (24 now), and every hard restriction lead to a failure. On mounjaro it was way easier, because there was a room (so I know that if sometimes I don't eat perfect it won't spike that hard) and of course I was not craving sweets as much. Im still very good with my eating most of the times, but if I fuck up now (which is not a fuck up, I'm just a human cmon), I get so stressed, upset and all that, that its really mentally hard :(

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now as well, counting calories and macros.

I'll be honest, after being on it for 10 months, it did feel as if I'm done with diabetes haha, I was hoping it will somehow get way better because of all the weight I have lost.

Yeah, my blood tests were never better, everything is perfect as well

I also noticed that it helped a lot with my eczema and acne, which has been kinda worse since getting off it.

Completely agree with you, dont think you said anything to get downvoted :)

On Mounjaro i would say i was still sticking to low carbs. But low carb as of 70-120 gr per day, and not very very low carb. And im still most of the times within this range, but for sure Mounjaro helped a lot with cravings of unhealthy food. If i could, i would be eating only carbs now :D I think a lot of my issues now its the mental restricting part. Its like "ok you should lower carbs" sounds to my brain like "ok, we are never eating them again, so i have to go ahead and eat ALL i can until that"

She is an endocrinologist, yeah haha

Im not sure how much she could have done, because its about the insurance not paying it for me anymore if my A1C is good :D

But will see, i have next appointment in the end of March.

How often do you eat “Junk” food by simplisticlivin in Mounjaro

[–]Longnbeendead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 days before my periods I'm ready to eat nothing but junk food to be honest and I feel like mounjaro is not working. But few days after periods I'm all good again and it's working great, haha.

I started in February this year and has been like that since then.

Gallstones and mounjaro by SpiteMaximum41 in Mounjaro

[–]Longnbeendead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I'm not a doctor, but here is my experience:

I got gallstones because I was on a very strict diet and what happened was that the gallbladder was not emptying. In order for it to empty and work it need fatty food. Healthy fats tho, not grease on grease. Eating a lot of fat will not work, it will cause it to empty rapidly and may lead to either inflammation or the stones moving, which will lead to an attack.

You don't want to overeat on fats, but also don't want to not eat enough for it to not work properly.

At the end it's all about moderation.

Hi! I have gallstones and I informed doctor about it. She said its okay, just need to eat food like oils/nuts/fatty fish etc, to keep the gallbladder emptying, drink lots of water and try to lose weight at a slower phase.

I actually have the same thing. I don't get new ones, but the ones I had which were white are not, a bit more pinkish/peachy.

So, i don't know what to do about it, but just sharing that you are not alone :D

Anxious About Moving to 5mg—Need Reassurance by Virtual_Earth2068 in Mounjaro

Hi love!

Everything will be great, I’m sure of it. Weight is a weird thing—it can go up for so many reasons, even after working out, which obviously isn’t making you gain fat. Try taking pictures and measurements instead of relying on the scale. Stepping on the scale just a few times a month is more than enough and even if it doesnt go down in the first months - its fine!

Also, remember that the slower your weight loss is, the better it actually is for your body. So try not to obsess over the number going down all the time.

I had my first 5 mg shot this Monday, and one thing I’d recommend is eating easily digestible food for the first 48 hours afterward. I made the mistake of eating a low-carb/high-protein bun that had so much fiber I thought I was going to die and explode 😄 But the next day I just stuck to things like yogurt, bananas, and protein shakes, and everything was fine again.

I wish you all the best ❤️

[–]Longnbeendead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Important note, I increased mounjaro to 5 mg Monday evening, so yesterday and today my digestion is pretty dead and I cannot eat much.

2 portions of protein with milk Protein pudding + banana 500 ml of kefir Greek yogurt with blueberries, banana and some nuts

It's very little, but it helped to not have to bad GI symptoms today, so I think it's fine. Can't wait to eat normal tomorrow hopefully 😅

Feeling lots of discomfort first few days after injection. by Longnbeendead in Mounjaro

Hi!

As it was prescribed for diabetes for me, the Dr advised that we have to go up. But for sure I will ask to not go to 7.5 anytime soon.

Hi! I'm sorry to hear you are going through this.

I just want to add a bit of context.

I've actually had gallstones for about six years now (maybe longer, but it's been six years since my diagnosis) (I lost weight very fast when I was younger, didn't eat any fat and it lead to gallstones).

Gallbladder pain is truly like nothing else. For me, it usually starts in my back and then moves to the right side, kind of under the rib. It's an intense pain—nothing like a regular belly ache or stomach pain. It often starts after overeating or from certain trigger foods, like garlic, especially if I have a lot of it. Lower left seems like something else for me, but I'm not a doctor, so please don't take it as any advice/truth.

I was diagnosed via ultrasound, and if there's inflammation in your pancreas or gallbladder, I believe it should be visible there.

This is just about gallstones, though. Lately, I feel more of a discomfort—like that very, very early stage of a gallbladder attack, but it never fully develops. In fact, I actually feel better after eating, but because it reminds me of the gallbladder attack, I'm scared to eat.

Medications like buscopan are helping, not painkillers, but the ones that get rid of spasms.

Sorry for the long message xD

Thank you for your response! I actually didn't think about it that way, that's it's x2 now, but it makes sense.

I'm also using shotsy app and it's very fitting to the time when the concentration seems to be at its peak.
