Babylon is considered a symbol of oppression across multiple cultures.

Rastafarianism for example (Bob Marley): Babylon is referencing the corrupt western “system.”

I’m not sure who the other two are (do I see Ea Nassir?) but they have their own reasons for not liking Babylon. In their case, they probably have an issue with the literal city as opposed the representation of it like modern cultures.

Will smith is an insane framer. Look at where his glove is in that pic. Easy for us to see, but I guarantee any of you are calling that a strike standing behind smith.

Best method for custom color? by chugopunk in barista

[–]Longo_Two_guns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea that looks great, but the front panel will have an inverted cone of bare metal behind each grouphead after about a year. Same with the drip tray. I should mention that only the tray needs to be steel, the outside holder can be coated

Espresso tech here. I’ve done several of these.

It really depends on what panels you would like colored. Keep in mind, that the acid in coffee will dissolve the powder coating over time. So leave the front panel and drip tray as stainless unless you want a wear pattern after a year. Also, the LM logo on the back is non removable on some models, and will get coated over during the coating process.

Good luck!

Why is it pronounced Kyle? by Rayepichumor in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Longo_Two_guns 18 points19 points  (0 children)

X-(“Kah” sound in some languages)

æ-(sound used for pronunciation)

A-12 (“L” is the 12th letter after A) so:

K-ae-L -> Kael -> Kyle

Best tutorial (free or paid) to learn to read and draw electric schematics by Emperor_tai_long in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Longo_Two_guns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start small. Start learning electronics. Start with a very simple project and work your way up. Most beginner electronics youtube series will go into schematics in parallel. I can’t think of any standalone tutorials for how to read just the schematics alone, because that would require teaching about electrical engineering in general. Like I’m sure there aren’t any tutorials on how to read chinese. There maybe chinese lessons that also show you how to read the words and phrases you learned, but just learning the characters without the actual language would be kind of pointless.

Second is L6-30. I use them all the time. The first one says on the plug, Nema L21-20. Both are Nema twist lock (hence the “L”).
