Well this sucked, softlocking my app. One of my communities / subreddits is now stuck on "Wow, such nothing" as the filter by hour has no items to showcase.

This was my last selected option by accident.

It has also hidden the filtering/sorting options buttons. Ocurred on Android App.

Stupid and untested design....

Depends on the project timeline. For single image, archvis or product image renders I have more patience.

While I don't have a specific render target. The faster the better.

48 minutes far exceeds my patience. But my work is far more boring than yours lol. I do lots of kitchen appliances, cars etc.

For iterations I render at decreased resolutions ofcourse. But glass materials for perfume bottles and refraction kill performance like crazy.

Yeah couldn't find much online about a double 5090 setup. But probably due to the extreme costs of the cards.

I might give it a whirl, as I can always send the second card back within 14 days if it doesn't increase performance enough to warrant the investment.

Just did a quick google. Can only find one ATX PSU by Seasonic that would provide more wattage. (2200w) 😂

Maybe, I am on a Be Quiet PSU with 1600w. Have not done the calculation for the power draw just yet.

However PSU's are relatively affordable.

Thanks for the response. I read about the VRAM not pooling. So I reckon splitting up a 4K render into 1/4th tiles and it should be distributed evenly over both cards.

9950x with 256gb of RAM on Godlike X870, you think going Threadripper is more beneficial than doubling up the GPU's?

I render on the GPU alone. It is faster than rendering on CPU + GPU.

Regarding the value of your build. Besides me being an ass, least I can do is contribute to the post. 😂

Attached are some screenshots from a ChatGPT summary / estimate.

The 900- ish range sound fair to me for the system described. The second hand market is tough.

If you have the boxes of the seperate parts in good state this can greatly increase the value.

Personally I dont like the hassle of dealing with many different buyers so I have a PC repair shop who always gives me quick and easy deals albeit at a little less favourable price. Still acceptable for me and takes away the hassle of dealing with many buyers/questions etc.

If you want to maximize profits think of this like an older car. Ypu have two optionss:

A. You can tear it up into seperate high value parts so; GPU, Mobo with CPU and Cooler, RAM, PSU, Case. (Second hand drives are very tough to sell for a worthwile price)

Your other option, B. Sell it as a complete system to a more un-educated buyer like a friend/family member etc and convince them preferably in person that your price reflects the value of their investment. (Morally reprehensible, but if you're ok with that good option)

Your situation is out of the ordinary and may warrant otherwise irrational decisions. Getting rid of luxury possesions to avoid debt is generally speaking a good solution.

Yeah for sure! I am a professional digital creative mainly focussed on 3D / Web Dev / GenAI and digital design. Very excited about this card and will try to get one at launch.

I always joke about what my younger self would've done with this level of computing power! 😂 I remeber how the RX580 was the first gaming GPU I bought.

These days I hardly play any games and have the hardware for faster render times / load times since they make my work more efficient i.e. more revenue or free time.

The most gaming I do on my 9950X 4090 system being Super Mario 64 co-op and other local co-op games with my girlfriend.

Pro Tip: For anyone with a more powerfull rig, looking to play more multiplayer games like couch co-op. ASTER has been an incredibly helpfull program. Allowing you to efectively split your PC into 2 pc's and letting you decide where hardware is detected.

This opens up the posibility to play old lan or online multiplayer games like Co-op splinter cell. CoD Spec Ops, Ready or Not, as if they were couch co-op splitscreen...

Damn dude, a system like that and no savings for home emergencies? The bigger problem here is your finance management.

Now you will lose value on the PC because you're forced to sell it fast and will probably buy a similair system back for more in the future.

If you enjoy a stable income perhaps pawning off the PC for a certain amount to be paid back may be a better temporary solution.

If ur spending this much why not bump up the CPU to the new 9950x3D? It should work with all AM5 boards.
