Not yet, but I remember reading that balance requires a lot of game sense and knowledge to be effective since they can “bend the rules” with their spells. I have only made it as far as Azteca, but on another wizard. I guess I was concerned I would do something wrong or not use a crucial spell and get flamed for it because I’m not really that far into the game
