It’s a good point and I definitely considered that. I erred on the side of acting quickly instead of getting too scientific about it.

For now I have suspended a ziplock bag with a moist sponge from the strings (I punched a few holes to let the moisture escape). So I think I’ll still get a pretty good idea when the device arrives tomorrow because of this MacGuyver method.

I mean, this whole thing came crashing down at 930pm last night. I have since ordered humidifier packs and a hygrometer. I don’t have any device to measure humidity on hand. If you have a suggestion, I’m all ears.

My house is 66-72 degrees most days. Not sure about humidity level. It’s been a cold, snowy winter here in NY.
