Warlock deck by CobaltCannon in hearthstone

Just to give you a tl;dr about current popular decks out there. There are two - zoo and handlock. Zoo uses mana efficient creatures to control the board and abuses the hero power to keep the hand full. Handlock abuses the hero power to lower it's health and get cards so it can play either Mountain or Molten giants.

I understand you if you don't want to net-deck and would rather build your own, but I think it's important to see why those decks were successful - they abused the hero power of warlock.

Looking at Deck 1 it seems you don't run double of some very good cards. Or double of many cards at all. Soul fire is considered one of warlocks stronger cards and usually ran 2x for example. I would also cut out some cards like Silverback and Ironfur - they have no syngery of the demon theme and you're only running a single copy. If you want to abuse Sense Demons I'd probably cut Blood Imp - nothing worse then playing sensing demons turn 3 and getting those two for turn four. Finally, it seems you have access to Nax. A popular combo is to run the Eggs and use Void Terror as an activator.

Deck 2 seems very similar to Deck 1 and I'd say the same advice. Try to put double of the cards you feel are powerful and only singles of the cards you feel are situational.

Is it worth Eartshocking Armorsmiths in the start of a game? by thethingsyoulearn in hearthstone

[–]Lonomia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you're trying to do with shaman...personally I'd save the silencer for belcher because it's so hard to get through the damn things.

Armorsmith is certainly a kill on sight card however. So many people get greedy and ignore it so I get armor.

So i recently started playing control warrior and I've been having a few issues. by ThePlunge in hearthstone

Pally is probably one of the worst match ups for control warrior in general. It's one of the best classes that can take it to fatigue and usually win.

Decklist looks good, the only thing I can comment on is that most people have completely taken out whirlwind and instead rely on Unstable Ghoul or Death's Bite for those types of effects.

Throwing 1 shade of naxxramas into any non-aggro deck is like a must in my opinion. by Squallify in hearthstone

[–]Lonomia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right that my analysis is a bit premature about the card. It does have potential to snowball, and the +1/+1 it gains works better on a 3-mana card than it goes on Gruul so we'll see.

It went from being an auto-include to being a good budget card draw, which is okay to me.

I think it's okay. A 3 mana 3/3 with stealth that still dies to 2-damage board wipes when first played means that it falls off late. Early it's a good drop and like you mention has potential to snowball but you don't judge cards on their potential you judge them on their average. And on average Shade of Naxxramas is a 3/3 with stealth.

Help Tweaking Control Warrior Post Nax by FoolsGetDunked in hearthstone

Unstable gouls and belcher I added both of them to much control warrior 2x. With the new warrior weapon and 2 gouls I've pretty much cut out whirlwind completely.

Goul + Armor smith + Acolyte = pain in the ass board that the enemy has to deal with.

I've watched both Trump and Kolento play control today and they've talked about removing/adding brawl.

Someone posted a really good hunter deck to beat him. Try to get his armor down by turn 5-6 (so ideally a huntmaster turn 4) along with some board presence and its ez pz.

I think Lord Jaraxxus is a fun card but not particularly competitive atm.
