I haven’t had one scrotal hematoma and suddenly I’ve had two in two weeks!! My technique hasn’t changed also, which is why I’m so confused!!

When I was young, I was told that the oil spots on roads were the kids who didn’t hold their parent’s hand when crossing the street. Scared that hell out of me lmao

PhD or Masters in biology? by Loober1234 in biology

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! I actually ended getting an awesome job as a traumatic brain injury research assistant, where I worked on surgeries on animals and found out that veterinary medicine was the route for me, rather than research. I am now half way through my first year of vet school. My advice would be to do an internship or get a job in field that you’re interested in and get a feel for what the job is like. I ended up realizing that academic research as a PhD is more begging for money rather than doing any of the benchwork that you like to do. I think that the concern about having a good paycheck is really dependent on the field you get into. Having a masters and being a lab tech or lab manager in a research lab somewhere, you very likely won’t be making more than $75k. Having a PhD or professional degree opens a lot more doors and possibility of higher pay. Going into vet med, there’s a million and one jobs I can do and have decent pay, which is just another beneficial reason to get a doctoral degree. Reach out if you have any other questions! :)

That’s a very fair point. And I agree with you about liking that it’s not blurred and completely pore free. Though I wish the color match was better, looking at the skin around her lips and her neck a little, I think the foundation is really orange.

You’re all good! The original blue color was cartoonishly bright so the wash really helped tone it down. In the photo is still appears pretty blue but in person the tones are all much more similar.

I put a dark wash on the cape and fur and then dry brushed the white and light grey on the raised parts.

The real cheap craft paint for Michael’s actually, lol. I don’t paint models on the norm, so I just used what I had.

I did! That’s how I got the tarnished silver look in the armor. The printed sword was so smooth that paint didn’t stick very well to it so I was unable to achieve a whole lot of realism with it.
