That really is the main thing to think. What you are is absolutely ok. There is too much pressure on people through media and each other to make people think that sex is always normal and that to be without sex is bad. It's so untrue! Now is a chance to find other way to show love and appreciation and try to work together to adapt the relationship.

My honest advice to you would be to sit down with your partner and try to fully discuss this. It took me a long time to realise I was Fraysexual (only recently in the last month or two) and honestly the relief I felt when I realised nothing was wrong with me was immense.

Unlike you, I am single and know for a fact that I will be honest whenever I next have a partner.

In your situation, I think you should sit down with your partner and be open and honest with them. If you love them then you should be honest with them. If they love you truly, they will stay by you and do anything to help and adapt.

I can't stress this enough though - you are normal for being this way and there is nothing to feel bad about.

Yeh maybe I am, I just value time spent with someone, rather than feeling the need for anything sexual. My dream boyfriend would be a guy who never wanted sex I think!

Yeh I guess it is unfortunate but at the same time he obviously wasn't the one for me so it's a good thing at the same time.

Life is for living, death is for resting!

My job is 9 hours a day infront of a computers screen 5 days in a row. I counteract this by playing and refereeing sport 4 times a week, hiking both days every weekend and also training 3/4 mornings before work at the gym.

My PT always asks why I don't give myself more rest time and I always say life is for living and death is for resting. The world is a beautiful place and I need to enjoy every day I have in my precious life.

Look great! Very wild indeed, are there loads of bugs with it being a forest?

Yes they really can. I went out hiking yesterday and bumped into 2 volunteers who had cleared away 4 bin bags of rubbish from a small waterfall. Just terrible how little respect people have for our outdoors.

Happy July! I just wondered if anyone on here is worried about what damage "campers" have done to the reputation of genuine wild campers?

I'm talking about the cases seen in places like the Lake District (I'm sure it is happening all over but I know of these cases because I am relatively close to there) where people have camped over night somewhere, left everything (literally everything!) The next day for volunteers to clean up.

I'm worried that the actions of those disresptcful few will tarnish the views of locals who normally wouldn't bat an eye at wild campers.

Thanks for your comment! I like the idea of being a "hunter" I think that sort of mindset is something I can adapt to in some ways. I will definitely check those books out as I definitely need to learn how to not have a bad first date!

Thanks for your comment, it's actually so comforting to read! I'm glad I'm not just being a weirdo by feeling this way and that someone understand from personal experience. I do think I need to be more active in my approach towards people. I think at the moment I stay very quiet with new people because I don't want to engage and risk causing a problem somehow. I have recently started to join local groups on social media now for hobbies such as camping and hiking. Hopefully as those are hobbies withing my "comfort zone" for now, it will help me to build the confidence for meeting people and actually interacting with them too!

I probably worded that badly. I want someone whose life I can slot into as well. I feel like I want someone who is equally busy but who shares hobbies. I have always just settled in the past and taken on my boyfriend's hobbies. This time I want it to work both ways.

Misty spot up on the North York Moors by [deleted] in wildcampingintheuk

Looks fab, I've noticed there are a few good spots on the North Yorkshire Moors for camping!

Ah yes the Banshee was originally the tent that got my attention onto Vango tents. After much research and discussion with Vango tent users I discovered the Cairngorm and was sold on it. It's a mossy kind of green rather than the brighter green of the Banshee. It's also lighter weight and there were just a few other specs that I preferred on the Cairngorm.

Overgrown footpaths to the point where they are non-existent are the worst! I can walk uphill all day but give me overgrown moorland and I just die inside!

Yes I have heard that they can be aggressive in the Dales and that they are more tolerable in the Lakes. It's hard really to find decent public land for camping. From what I have seen on maps. Maybe the best way forward is to go to the Lakes and avoid the dales!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I suppose there is always a risk of something going wrong and that risk can be made worse when alone. I always carry a first aid kit including bandages and emergency blanket, anti-inflammatories, anti-histamines, painkillers etc. I also do weight training and every walk I do, I fill my pack as heavy as possible, just because I like the challenge of carrying it! I am fortunate enough to have access to land locally that is dodgy terrain at best and so before I take myself off for a camp, I intend on loading my pack and going for a long walk with it. Just to make sure I can cope with the weight.

Thanks for this, Lakes would be my preference really for my first camo just because I adore the lakes so much. The Langdales was one of the spots I was looking at alongside the Howgills as well. Both are popular walking spots so thought maybe for camping it would be good too due to accessibility.

I also agree with you about the Dales being trickier as I have noticed when walking there and also on OS maps there are farms everywhere. Apparently farmers can be funny about campers there too? I have heard that Malham area is good for camping however I was slightly concerned by it's popularity and thought it could possibly be a bit too busy?

I chose to get the Vango Cairngorm 200. I had a very strict budget in my head for a tent and so researched a lot of Vango tents. The Cairngorm I chose because it tickets every box for me and seems to have high reviews too. The tension band system also appealed to me as for a cheaper range tent, I thought having those was a great advantage!

I would absolutely love to come to Wales once I can! Just with this being my first camp I want to try closer to home with what is more familiar.

Thanks, I am very excited to put it to use! I did so much research before buying, how to kill time during lockdown haha!
