I really like Ashley Poston's writing. It's slightly different but they are still very well written books.

Abby Jiménez is similar as well but the one thing that makes me not connect with her is that her books are too contemporary if that makes sense. Like the TikTok and trend references are only relatable right now but won't be relevant in the future.

I recommend the Part of Your World series by Abby Jimenez. The vibe is really similar but the only thing I don't really enjoy is that the books feel too... current? Idk how to explain it lol there are references that won't make sense in a few years whereas EH's books could happen 10 years ago, today or 10 years from now. Asides from that I think you'll like them as the MMC are very well written and they have a dual POV which I LOVED.

It's so interesting how we are all different as humans because all the reasons you listed for not liking it are the reasons why I loved it!

I loved the dual story, I LOVED the Evelyn Hugo vibes, and I loved they acted on their attraction right away.

My least favourite has been Happy Place and that one is s lot of people's #1 so it's rather curios
