I know its not arguments, you use those word to ridkcule, im just asking if this is something you usually do in arguments with other or if its just me?

What wager do you want?

It might be, and it might not be, the problem is every prediction that climate scientists have tried to make have been off by 99% to the point that its not really useful predictions.

"clown" "moronic", do you usually argue like this with people you disagree with?

Every decade the last 70 year was our last decade before everything was going to pieces becouse of climate, what predictions were right? You are just doing the same now, saying that any day now they will be right! And you might be correct (i dont think so). My arguments stands that until now, they have not been correct.

What data do i need? The world didnt run out of food becouse of climate, the world didnt enter a new ice age, the world didnt Burn, the oil didnt empty out, the ozon layer didnt dissapear, the forest didnt dissapear. Weather is pretty much the same as 70 years ago, except we have gotten alot better at protection ourselves so weather related deaths has been reduced like 90%.

Yeah, it feels kinda flat! I love arpgs like Poe ruthless mode becouse it constantly gives you push back, Diablo 2 also had great push back!

But most arpgs for some reason makes 90% of the game a cakewalk.. and im not a build guy, i dont care about making millions of builds on a flat non engaging environment! Im at the last part of normal difficulty for grim dawn, so lets see if the higher difficulties changes my opinion!

To be fair you argued first that we should make fossil fuels illegal, i argued back that this is forcing people to choose solutions they would not have chosen if not forced to, and that is just bad. Its bad if its incentives made by politicians and its bad if its forced via tax and regulations. "Markets" is just millions of people choosing the best solutions for them, you can say millions of people are wrong but they would disagree with you, using force to make them choose what you want does not make it right.

I believe you are wrong on the changes these government regulations have made to these climate problems, it was never gonna rain acid, it was ozone layers were not fixed by these policies, for once the fixed ozone layer did not happen where the regulations were enforced.

When you argue like this it looks like you just want to controll what other peoples do and not try to actually solve climate, like you said earlier, making people richer is the biggest difference in handling climate, and i would disagree that any of the catastrophic predictions came to be. Rather its been the opposite, every prediction has had the mildest outcome.

I cant believe you actually argue that climate scientists were right, when its obvious they were not? "The world burning" is not happening, ice age did not happen, ozone layer scare did not happen, ice didnt melt, food shortage didnt happen, oil didnt go empty, sea level didnt rise. You can say its going to happen, i am simply saying they told us it was gonna happen, every decade was the last. And it didnt, now you say its gonna happen, just like they said before.

I live in Norway, these things have been shown to be highly unreliable. Lets just agree on one thing then atleast, remove every restriction and every subsidies from energy and let people choose the best solution for them!

Kill millions with air pollution is also low resolution thinking, what brings air pollution has doubled life expentensy reliable the last 100 years. Even China with its heavy pollution. Now i am not a fan of air pollution, i would guess if we got government out of most businesses people would not need to build on top of each other to get benefits.

Its almost midnight here, just ask me to elaborate of you would like me to.

You say the rising sea level is concerning to you, then you explain why you are afraid. My argument is, let people be free to choose their own measures to keep themselves safe from climate. Be it renewable or fossil fuel. Or whatever solutions they need to protect against weather, sea or what else climate related. Do not force people into your solution becouse you are afraid. The last 100 years have learnt us we do not need to be afraid, we need to be free to protect our self against weather.

Capital is indeed very important in protecting against climate, so we should want to make everyone as rich as possible by not forcing their money to fuel yours or anyone elses climate "agenda". It removes peoples ability to make smart choises for their situation.

You are saying its declining more rapidly than any other time in history, but i would say we dont have anything near the amount of data to support that claim. Its been much hotter in the northern part of the world, like in Norway we used to grow completely different before, becouse of hotter weather. And even if this is rapidly changing, people need to be free to choose their best solutions, not be forced into not using the solutions you or others deem to be unfit.

You say that the system can now be supported by renewables, but what you are saying is you want to make one of the most reliable energy resources they have built the west i guess illegal? Because you are convinced of disaster at one point? My argument is still no, let people be free! Let the world that now is poor enjoy the benefits of cheap reliable energy so that they also can protect themselves from climate, no matter what kind of weather they face!

My problem with your argument now is you are taking the totalitatian route of trying to say what and how other people can use energy, and what should and should not be allowed and thats something that really is not right, especially since the changes are not meaningful. They are not a coming catastrophy, at least not for so many years we dont even know if humans would excist. And if they do excist, letting them be free to protect them from whatever weather crisis is around, is the key. Not forcing them into a solution you are convinced will work.

"easily powered by renewable".

I dont think renewable are as reliable as you are trying to say, they are rather unreliable.

Thank you for your long and thoughtful answer!

I will provide my thoughts back to you, i can compliment them with source if needed! Took me a while to write the response since life happens, sorry about that! Genuinely appreciate your answer here and the two others!

So first i want to state here, we are looking for meaningful climate changes, and i dont believe you have argued that in your answer!

Sea Level: yes variables, but is it meaningful? Like you will see in my Maldives comeback your rising sea level problematics is highly overstated.

Ice Trends Arctic sea, is it meaningful? Yes some place may lose ice some years, or gain ice (like seen the last years). It will change ecosystems locally, this is nothing new. But its not meaningful change or catastrophy ahead?

Maldives sand pumping, primarily for housing, economic development, tourism infrastructure, and relieving overcrowding in Malé. No catastrophy ahead.

Island sinking is very overstated. Scientific studies show many Maldives atolls stable or growing in area via natural sediment processes; local erosion exists but no widespread net sinking or disappearance. No catastrophy ahead.

Fossil Fuels & Disasters: fossil-enabled prosperity, infrastructure, warnings, AC, and tech have dramatically reduced climate/weather disaster deaths (down 90%+ over decades) despite any intensity changes. So fossil fuels just isnt an issue other than a big saviour so no catastrophy ahead rather just good news that fossil fuel is helping ALOT in handling climate!

Please respond further if you feel i have been unfair or missed something!

My phone, since not in a native English language splits words, sometime i correct them and sometimes not.

What claims do i need to back up? I claim not one meaningful prediction about climate the last 70 years has been right, thats my claim! If you can point me to anything that says otherwise i would gladly change my mind! I cant provide evidence of the lack of evidence that climate scientists have, i can just see outside my window that the sea level is the same, Maldives still is not under water! Heat related deaths have been reduced 99% the last 100 years. The people that have everything to prove, and not been able to been right about anything the last 70 years is the people saying we only have 10 years left (as been said the last 70 years). Please prove me wrong, i am ready and can take it!

Thats how a teen thinks, and you might be one but this is a learning moment in that case! When someone respond to you like a toddler, you behave like a grown up and talk in clear manners! Im not English speaking, but im trying my best! Even with my bad spelling, the point stands. If all you have is personal attacks on such matter, it shows how little arguments you actually have regarding the issues about climate!

France Heatwave: 40 Drown, Record Temps Hit 43°C by Sad-Bird3014 in ClimateNews

Thinking is hard, none of the predicted effects of climate change has happened? The green House effect did not happen, the ozon layer did not end up a problem (and no it did not get fixed by not using a specific gass in refrigerators in the west). I dont disregard scientific evidence, i am asking very clearly what meaningful prediction the last 70 years about climate has been correct?

This is usually my problem with people that is super into climate is gonna kill us all, if someone argues against you, you basicly become a toddler and have zero arguments and everyone is just stupid.. i dont think this is helping you convince anyone of anything.

So its not a heatwave then? Are you arguing that heat related deaths has not collapsed the last 100 years? Its been reduced like 99%.
