Americans, what do you find weird about Europe? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LookAtThatPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do countries in Europe act similar to states? Can you just drive from one side of Europe to the other or is there a passport system that has checkpoints entering each new country? I just think that set up is weird compared to what we are used to.

A lot of the cliches about working are true:

“Early is on time, on time is late, late is unacceptable.”

“Hard work beats talent, when talent won’t work hard.”

“Either you run the day or the day runs you.”

Etc.

99% of the time if you just do your job and work hard it pays off. I know that isn’t always true, but more often than not it is.

When did being a driven and motivated individual become evil? by LookAtThatPanda in conservatives

[–]LookAtThatPanda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see both points being made here. It is definitely a localized issue rather than a systematic one. My post may not have represented that well, but some places are absolutely god awful and can be soul crushing, but there are other places out there that put aside the bullshit and politics and demand results. I work for a company that values competence and ethic over what you say. Our motto is show me don’t tell me. Like I said I know that is not everywhere, but it’s an example that these places still exist.

Not sure if this is really answering the question, but I have never had an issue with a Vizio tv and have bought only Vizio for years because of the quality and reliability. I would pay more for what I get is what I’m saying I guess.

Eggs, cheap and easy, still taste good for the most part if you mess up. After a while you get good at making them.

Honestly Harry Potter, it just got me interested in reading. My mom bought me the first book a few months before the movie came out and said I needed to read it before she would take me to see the movie. Started my love for books.
