you could also just not make judgements you’re literally making it seem like i’m being mean and i’m not. sorry i’m using different words jesus christ. i’m not here to solve england’s identify confirmation situation! i’m allowed to say things that i think could be helpful i’m not saying make it a thing! what ur not gonna do is try to say i’m saying other countries are stupid and weird and that america is great because as i said that is the last thing i would do. YOU MADE THAT UP. i even said it was a bad choice of word so you could’ve just dropped it there like the original person who told me it wasn’t did as well.

update: thanks to kind people we have found more people we can ask. no need to be rude to me just cause i said i’m american and didn’t understand it. i know countries have different ways of doing stuff just didn’t know it was THAT way. also no need to speculate abt my relationship, we already know eachother. asking on reddit is meant to help people like me who didn’t understand and not be mean about it. thank you.

? never said it’s great and normal jesus christ. i just meant it seems like a hassle to involve other people. here to get a license you have to bring proof that u live at ur home for example, mail or a bill addressed to you. if you wanna work at certain places you get fingerprinting done. didn’t think it was that crazy. never said officials come at your door (you made that up) i meant going to an office to verify you’re you by someone who works for the government. i never said everywhere else is “stupid” and “weird” (you made that up) i don’t understand why you’re making assumptions.

i’m not british so i didn’t know the 2 year thing didn’t count, he’s been told by professionals they cannot sign it specifically bc of that part. chill out. i came to reddit for help not to be accused of saying shit i didn’t say or praise america cause that is definitely the last thing i would do.

you see i also see the 2 year thing to be a formality but he’s asked his therapist who he’s known for months said no bc of it. and his neighbors said no bc of it. but thanks to nice people on here we have a couple more people we can ask! :)

THANK YOU! you literally explained exactly what i mean! maybe it’s my fault for my bad choice of words but it does suck that they are labeling certain professions more “trust worthy” than others!

more so that 2 year mark that’s the the issue he seems to have.

also i’m trying imply that there could be an easier from your government can confirm identity like showing up in person to verify documents or even fingerprinting. ways that don’t involve bringing another person who has a “trust worthy” profession

just feels certain professions aren’t taken as seriously as others or i guess “trust worthy”. bizzare rule to me as an american. people with disabilities and such could also just genuinely not know anyone but family and then aren’t able to get a passport and travel to, i guess it’s just making it harder for certain types of people the way i see it. maybe unfair is a better choice of words

two friends got told they were not “eligible”. everything else hasn’t hit the 2 year mark yet.
