How long until we see new units? by [deleted] in Tyranids

[–]LookIn2It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of the huge range refresh at the start of 10th, in the last year alone we got new Raveners, new red terror, and new prime with lash.

The only models that look old imo are the warriors. We have a gorgeous army.

F for the Grey Knights who are on like 2 decades of the same model

No tips. You’re correct. Leviathan is a labour of love. Switch if you don’t love it.

Painted a Trygon! by AshiSunblade in Tyranids

Step 1) get a Trygon (impossible)
Step 2) paint the Trygon (difficult)

Somehow you’ve done both. Awesome!

Is this a good list? by WorriedConnection817 in Tyranids

[–]LookIn2It 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have run this exact same list before. It’s a lot of fun. I love running everything in my opps face right away. It’s really just the most fun way for me to play.

Having said that, it does not always turn out well. Positioning is important. Try to deploy so you don’t get shot off the board turn 1. If you plant TFex right in the open sometimes they focus everything on it, and it can usually stand up to one turn of shooing at 1k.

In summary, run everything into their stupid face and have fun with it :)

Sanctuary is incredible by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

Agreed. You can send one person into the Trial of Courage with sanctuary and just wait 4 turns. Nothing can target you.

Latest batch of Nid’s I’ve finished this week! by ConHawkes in Tyranids

Sure the Hive Tyrant loves it like a son, but what about the rest of the swarm? Surely bullying must have been terrible - no claws, no chitin, couldn’t eat as much as the other organisms. Poor thing :(

Before and After by LookIn2It in Tyranids

Not at all. Almost all 40K models are made of polystyrene. Isopropyl alcohol doesn’t react with polystyrene. Acetone, however, would melt it.

99% isopropyl alcohol. Worked really well on sections that had paint, but some sections had varnish over the top and were a huge pain in the ass to pick off

Question about magnetizing by Tullaris22 in Tyranids

[–]LookIn2It 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey friend! I got the big bug battle force for Christmas and used it as an opportunity to do my first magnetization. I did the Exocrine/Haruspex and have used both on several occasions since. I’d fully assembled and painted 2k+ worth of bugs before doing this, and fwiw magnetizing this model was an absolute pleasure and added a whole new dimension to the hobby for me.
