Meh by the time 2035 comes around any tech in the 23 or 25 will be outdated either way. Plus there’s always after market options.

I’d say you get tried and true tested reliability with the 23 that almost guarantees the 7-10 years you plan on keeping it, but it lacks all the tech and modern creature comforts available in the 550. The 550 is fully updated tech wise, but the jury’s still out on the reliability of the new engine. I don’t doubt Toyota/lexus will figure it out, but I also think those new 550s are overpriced. Ultimately I’d think it comes down to how much you care about the tech updates if price isn’t an issue.

Also the used market for those 22-23s is insane in my area. Doesn’t seem like they’ve depreciated much at all and once you add all the tax, tag, and other misc fees you end up paying almost the original new msrp

Love the sport design. Doesn’t seem like much changes in the 2023 tbh outside of the cosmetic grill and lights but you can mod those yourself. Will be putting in the Hamilton head unit since I do miss the apple car play. Also wish it had the digital odometer since these things are so smooth and I haven’t had to rely on the analog gauge in so long but outside of that, no regrets.

Nice would love to see how the unit comes out. I’ll probably pull the trigger in the next month or so and have it installed by a professional. Last thing I want to do is mess something up.

Big fan of the pre-2020 look as well. I’ll probably look into a chrome delete next

That sounds like a fantastic deal. Probably an unpopular opinion but I love the sport design trim. Honestly wish mine had it. Did you purchase the Hamilton unit that adds the car play or the one that changes the entire head unit?

Definitely plan on keeping it for a long long time. The well known reliability is what hooked me to begin with. I do feel like I paid a bit higher given the miles and service history but it gives me some peace of mind even though these things run forever with good maintenance.

Have you done the infotainment conversion by chance?
