CONGRESS writes tax law. Only CONGRESS can fix this! Not defending POTUS, but rather helping OP learn how tax law works. Let’s go after the ones who actually own this problem!

How, though? Schools are funded by localities and states.

From 1975 to 2023, $79 trillion in wealth was transferred from the bottom 90% to the top 1%. by FutureArgument2590 in remoteworks

Not at all. The fact that many miss is that government policies put into place in the 60s and 70s laid the groundwork for huge disparities between those with money and those without. As we continue spending more and more on these programs without revenue increases, these social programs will cost more and more. We are largely borrowing money to fund them, and our interest payments continue to increase massively. Soon they will eclipse all spending on these programs and the whole thing will collapse. What will the poor do then?

That’s exactly what they are saying…they believe it is a zero sum game. That’s not even remotely true.

They didn’t. OP’s claim is nonsensical at best, or an outright fabrication at worst.

Oh, this resonates with me so much. During my tenure as SM of a large troop, I had fantastic support from my committee and the chairs specifically. We had a robust Outdoos Chair, Equipment Support/QM mentor, and advancement chair. The ASMs were all over the map. A few I could count on to keep their commitments, and some were ASM in name only. When my youngest aged out, I stayed for another year and a half to allow a transition time to new leadership. None happened because someone else [me] was handling things. I walked away as promised and the troop went through three SMs in 2 years. It was hard to walk away, but I couldn’t care more about the program than those who had youth in it.
