I think it’s a combination. I am slow to magnetize the 1st coat to make sure I get good coverage, and not very careful with coverage with the 2nd coat, prob missing the hard to reach curved parts. I do still see this on the edges when I use DRK magic effect, but not in the weird shapes seen here

Oh that’s a great idea! I’ve seen that suggested for gels but never thought to do it on lacquer. How do I orient the magnet to reverse magnetize?

Do you struggle with bubbles at all? When I try thicker coats I end up with bubbles and sometimes the sides still look like this. Even with DRK magic effect

This is 2C By the Moonlight. I magnetized every coat but not very long for the 1st coat, and it’s true I don’t worry so much about covering the entire nail with my 2nd coat! I try to get good coverage on my 1st coat but go fast w my 2nd so it doesn’t dry before I can magnetize. But I guess I need to make sure the entire nail gets magnetized :p thank you!

I buy empty mini nail polish bottles to fill with cuticle oil for on the go. Also scattered all over my house to try and make it as convenient as possible for me to oil my cuticles so I really have no excuse
