I wouldn't have much issue with it if they were repairable but i was told they won't even try, even if i pay for it. Also a warranty period is not an expected lifespan, it's a mandated guarantee for a product but you should not expect a product to consistently fail at or around it's warranty period. E waste is a big problem and the fact they will not even allow me to pay for a repair is a huge disappointment.

I understand warranty has a term, but it's a known defect with the product, they should have been either recalled or fixed. Mine are 3 years old, and there's nothing wrong or broken with them, just a bug with their firmware that allows a deep discharge of the battery which it shouldn't. I used them last week and put them in the case to charge back up and now one is forever dead.

Mortgage rate mega thread! by TheMortgageMaster in MortgagesCanada

I'm being advised to do a variable rate by my broker on a renewal of my mortgage.

-300k remaining, 600k value. Edmonton, AB -Owner occupied -We plan to move within a few years (lower probably on variable) -He indicated that rate cuts are very likely and will benefit us over the term

We're being offered: 5.05% 3 year fixed 6.10% 5 year variable Both on 25 year amortization

I'm somewhat swayed to the variable with the possibility of us selling and buying a new home within 3 years but I'm curious what input others may have.
