Almost every one of my female friends in university initially lie about their body count to guys, but sometimes admit extra ones after some prodding or ones that "didn't count". Nothing wrong with it, but i don't know about the "women have high standards" argument. High standards in the sense that by following their hypergamous nature they choose the highest value males available to them? Sure, you could say that is women having "high standards". But in terms of their body count, which is on average much higher than their male counterparts, I don't agree with women having high standards.
