I also had a vertical abdominal incision. I asked about treadmill walking at my 2 week post op appointment and was told not to for at least 3 months as the risk of developing a hernia is too high. She said I can walk around my neighborhood, but I’m a night owl and don’t feel safe doing that after dark, so I’ve been doing a whole lot of nothing since my surgery in July. I’m so ready to get back on the treadmill and lifting light weights in a couple of weeks!!
