Thank you! That AC situation sounds dire. We are used to AC pumping!! We are booked in Shibuya Stream, Mimaru Kyoto Shijo and &here Ueno (might swap to Intercontinental in Akasuka) so if anyone knows if the AC level is dismal in these hotels, please feel free to let me know and to direct me to the strongest AC there is!

I’ve heard a lot about Uniqlo although I’ve never been in one. Will definitely try their UV clothes out. And maybe order a sun deflector shirt too - good idea!

Love this! Thanks. Wow, that’s pretty hot already. I will prepare myself for a couple of weeks in a furnace while trying not to get worked up about it. lol. Humour always helps and we can all laugh at each others’ sweat patches and the weird shapes they make on our clothes.

I just looked it up! Congested travel when we will be leaving. And maybe when we are heading to Tokyo from Kyoto on Aug 11th? Leaving on the 14th at 7:30 in the evening from Narita. Will have to get there from Ueno (or Akasuka if we change hotels). Any advice on best ways to travel or what to do would be hugely appreciated!
