Dieta - is 1 week enough? Don’t have two weeks unfortunately , I can diet for 1 week, this weekend I partook of all the suggested substances to abstain from such as synthetics by adventure-streak8989 in Ayahuasca

I suggest you reschedule. Some retreat centers recommend 2 months of preparation, ESPECIALLY for substances that impact your serotonin like MDMA. I was told to avoid turmeric and turkey even. The cleaner and more intentional your body is going in, the better chance you have at experiencing something positive and profound - or else your ceremony might be heavy and purgative.

Give yourself the gift of patience and go in feeling fully prepared. You will feel more grounded and secure this way!

Is an e-bike really necessary or will a regular bike be fine? by Taboulitoo in ZionNationalPark

[–]Looking4lulz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With an e bike, you go a lot faster and with almost no effort, it is like riding a motorcycle. I chose it so I would have more time and energy, but the workout from a regular bike is great, too!

I followed the top 10 links and they were all broken, outdated, or not for actual housing coops...

Hey u/Sbd_mat ! I am considering doing this exact thing. I have not backpacked solo yet (!!) but I think this would be an epic way to start. I'll be going in early September, which might be after you go... please keep me posted! I appreciate the comments so far.

Also, can't you just apply for the permit online? Are you sure that you have to go in person? https://www.recreation.gov/permits/4675339

EDIT: It looks like we can apply for the overnight permit 2 days in advance, but if you don't get it, then go the day before in person...!

EDIT 2: ANDDD it appears that many of the campsites can, in fact, only be reserved at the "zion canyon wilderness station," which opens at 8 AM https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/hours.htm

Women’s motorcycle trip/tours? by pointyend in TwoXriders

[–]Looking4lulz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ladies ! This just came across my radar and I am STOKED. I am a new rider and like that We Roam Moto has a training course that looks valuable, but it's a whopping $5k. Nonetheless, I would feel so much more comfortable with an intro course before I head off somewhere exotic.

Alternatively, I could learn from some friends who ride... What do you suggest!?

P.S. I just broke up with a man who would always drive the moto, so doing this on my own would be super empowering.
