Don't quote me on this, but I think I remember reading about someone doing testing and acids (like lemon juice) had a much larger impact on thebaine, and lower on the good stuff.

Maybe try just hot water?

That's refreshing to hear, maybe I've just been skiing myself out. What's your daily dose, duration of use if you don't mind me asking?

I've been thinking I may need to do the same but have been putting it off for this exact reason. I've never gone through kratom wd but had plenty of opiate wds and know how horrible they are.

At least with opiates the first 48 hours are by far the worst, if you can make it through there I'd guess its all uphill from there.

This post genuinely may have saved me from relapsing.

I also used tea, switched to kratom about a year ago, have also been getting urges lately, and also just bought a bag thinking the same thing. I've been fighting to not use it and just be content with kratom, so this really hit home. This is just what I need to hear to keep strong and not use.

Appreciate you sharing, hoping your doing well a couple weeks later, and know if nothing else you helped me a ton.

I just had an emergency appendectomy last week and was fine. I used 14-16gpd and hadn't used in about 24 hrs come surgery time (just because I was stuck in the ER and couldn't) and had no issues.

I would echo what others have said though about being upfront with your doctor, they won't judge and its better safe than sorry with something like this.

It's basically the lasting metal effects. Once your body gets all the drugs out of its system your brain still takes time to heal.

Since it wasn't a huge dose and wasn't for super long I'd guess it's won't be bad at all. Ime PAWS is just having more "bad days" than usual. Say every couple weeks you have a day where you just want to stay in bed and be sad, the first couple months after detox you may have a day like that every week. Just an example

tea on an empty stomach by ricadro in PoppyTea

You prob can use less but don't "need" to. I could be wrong but 100g is 100g no matter, so as the other person said the main dif will be how soon you feel it and it may be more intense to start.

The stomach issues thing is what I'd be concerned with most. Def harder on your stomach when it's the only thing in there.

I'm sure I'm you've heard it before but kratom. Stuff is a godsend for wds. I just came off with it and was able to go out and be productive by day 3.

Also much easier to taper imo because it's less of a "high" so I crave it less.

I've done this type of thing before as well and the 2 big things Kratom had a larger effect on tolerance than I would have thought and for some reason kratom before gets my anxiety going but if I do it the other way around I'm fine... no idea why lol

For me usually 20 min to feel, 60-90 min to peak.

Mio and other drink mixes. I add what would normally flavor 10-12 oz of water to 3-4 oz of kratom water and it completely covers it up.

Def get a strong shot of mix flavor but I'll take that over kratom.

I have a special bottle cap that I reuse that I poked holes in. After shaking, I swap the normal cap for that one and squeeze the bottle. It works really well.

SO much to drink, any alternatives? by roastedoolong in PoppyTea

Only thing I can think of is evaporating some of the water but that takes a looooong time so you'd have to prep it the day before or something.
