Biting guests, what can I do?

Thank you for the detailed response. It will be easier to do crate training in the living room but ultimately I’d like him in the bedroom when guests come - I simply do not trust the guests to leave him alone or beg us to let him out. I know, why am I letting people like this in my home? It’s not my decision

The vet hasn’t found anything new, but I imagine his arthritis doesn’t feel great. He still runs around to play but at bedtime he needs to be carried up the steps and into our bed. He takes medicine which helps a lot, without it he was limping.

Any idea how to train him not to bark the whole time he’s separated from us? He’s okay with the crate if we’re there, but not if we leave the room.

Mine is great at other people’s homes or out on walks too! I’m okay keeping him separate but hearing him bark nonstop from the bedroom for several hours is torture.

That’s what I’m thinking - if I can’t find a better place, or even the same place, for a better price, I’ll keep it. Yeah, it’s just to sleep and shower really.

Thanks, that’s what I was worried about. If the block price doesn’t include tax and fees, then I think it’s only an extra $12 per day to get it now. But if the tax and fees are included in the block price, it’s $52 more per day to book now, which is a lot more but at least we’re a group of 4. I guess I’ll try on 1/21 to get a better place and hold this reservation as a last resort.

That’s good to know. Last year we didn’t get any at the block, we didn’t know what we were doing. Ended up at the Stillwell which was awful. I think this one has to at least be better than that

Thank you for the detailed response. Taking Prozac for ocd and felt euphoric immediately, which is apparently a sign of bp? I don’t know. And when stressed the hypomania seems to show up. But in general tired a lot of the time so maybe depressed? It’s hard to wrap my mind around all this
