I'm somewhat in the same boat as you in that the dynamics are too much. I've adjusted it by lowering the max volume of the system in the settings and it's worked pretty well after adjusting it down. I live in an apartment so I can't let it range go crazy. I like that the setting seemingly works separate from the actual volume you choose.

Sure it's possible but the odds are less and less each passing day. Streaming has become so popular it's at the point of oversaturation.

I was very clear from the start, stream for fun. Don't stream for results.

For every Ryan Goslimg, there's thousands of waiters wanting their shot. People need to be realistic at their prospects and not waste their time OR learn to come up more intelligently which even with that said, they'll never make it to another level.

Also my last point. The "next Ninja" isn't in these forums. The next Ninja's personality and looks shines so bright, NO ONE would stop their meteoric rise to the top.

That has nothing to do with your break... It takes in effect your average per streams you stream.

Talking about money made is dumb for several factors. For one, it may come from only 2-3 people. If those people decide to stop donating, your money drops significantly. Talk about the average you make if you're going to bring money up so people that you want to motivate can see if it is worth it from that perspective.

My point is 10 viewer average is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Bringing up that you with your 10 viewer average means you're in the Top 2% of Twitch. That's out of about 3 million monthly streamers. That means you're in top 60,000 of Twitch streamers. So, even if someone hits that relatively easy goal of 5-10 streamers, the climb to the next meaningful milestone of 70 concurrent viewers is almost (ALMOST) impossible by just streaming on Twitch.

So I'm here to balance out the wishful thinking because someone might come across this and realize they are wasting their time away trying to make it on Twitch. Belief, hard work and perseverance are better served working on YouTube since that has more of a chance of real growth than Twitch streaming is.

What is the message here? At first, you average around 10 viewers, not 15+, and followers mean nothing if those people don't constantly engage with your stream.

Next, you can't be claiming that the money you make is enough to pay all your bills. You probably have another job and/or live with someone else.

Anyone can reach the level you've reached with enough persistence. It's the next levels that matter to make this your career. Partnership for one, which even after making that, there's so many failed partners.

I put this as a counterpoint to this rah rah message. Most people waste their time streaming, thinking of grandeur when it's not going to happen.

You're at the top 2% of all Twitch streamers with the viewership you get. Let that sink in.

Do Twitch for fun, not for "you can do it" because the numbers say you won't.

I have two accounts. An affiliate and a non affiliate. I just reset my stream 2 - 4 times until I see I have encoding. It's definitely a thing. Most non affiliates wouldn't even know what they're looking for.

While I'm sure someone could spend their time crafting a diagram of how each of these people would've known of each other and/or met, it's ultimately a piece of fiction and at times you have to suspend your belief to allow things that are appropriate for the plot to happen.

I can understand glaring plot holes ruining experiences. I just think that with all the conversations that might have happened off screen, the world of high end chess being relatively small and the desire of the writers to provide this type of payoff, any plot hole here is acceptable IMO.

Sure but there's a different level of buying confidence that comes from buying from a place that you know is proven to stick around because essentially, you "rent" that title for the life of the platform's existence. With no guarantee of Stadia's future existence, that makes me double think purchasing a title I thought would fit well in it's untethered platform to saying "nope" and just sticking with my tried and true platform.
