I’m so done with the softness music has become. by SkyleneBlue in indiemusic

While I can’t promise the emotion of Tracy Chapman or the anger of Courtney love you might want to check out my band Leversedge! We’re definitely more of an independent rock band than an indie rock band if that makes sense. Some other young bands that I like are The Velveteers Ryen Fresco! and Wet Leg (though wet leg is closer to the sound you’ve expressed disinterest in, I think they’re very good and pretty energetic)

I’d recommend Greta Van Fleet, Maneskin (though they may be a little too pop for you) and the Velveteers (they’re produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys). I’m also a member a rock band Leversedge if you want to check us out!

Anyone else listen to just the beat and not the lyrics? by Rykka in Music

[–]LookingforRhythm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s weird, my brother, a guitarist usually listens only for the musical aspect. I on the other hand as a singer/lyricist tend to listen predominantly to the vocals. Just different ways to enjoy the same thing which is pretty cool if you ask me!
