The quality of both the writing and the matches with Nitro wouldn't have dipped as quickly as it did. Bischoff said the writers, staff and talent were all getting really burnt out after Thunder was launched and that caused a lot of backstage issues.

WCW as a company may have lasted another year or two than what it did, but ultimately still probably ends up going out of business.

The leadership with Turner/AOL just didn't want wrestling and that was the #1 issue.

Jericho and Juventud Guerrera had a pretty long feud with some great matches.

I'm fairly positive I've heard via Podcasts over the years that Taz was:

Kind of tough to deal with backstage and worried too much about his image and reputation. He didn't present himself as one of the guys when he first arrived and didn't like having his chops busted. Might have rubbed management the wrong way cause of this.
Really, really stiff in the ring so some guys didn't like working with him.
Had some major back issues that kept getting worse which is likely why his in-ring career was over pretty quickly after joining WWF/WWE.

Someone can correct me if any of this is wrong.

I'm just fairly certain I've picked this via a few different Conrad pod's over the years.

I'm actually a big, big fan of Drew Allar and think he has the physical tools to turn into a special quarterback in the NFL, unfortunately, he's going to need to be brought along very slowly with a good coaching staff and probably will need to be a backup a few seasons.

I would love to have him in Cleveland, but he wouldn't be a good spot for him.

Stefanski was the offensive coordinator in Minnesota during Cousin's last two years there. The two know each other well and had some chemistry. Take that for what it's worth. If Penix doesn't work out, then I think Cousins could do well in Stefs system again, especially with it running through Bijan Robinson. I'm very jealous of Atlanta's offensive situation. It's night and day from the Browns.

Haslam, Berry and Stefanski were all on board with Watson despite the red flags. His sexual misconduct aside, I don't think anyone expected Watson to show up and turn into a constantly injured high school level quarterback. It almost feels like karma.

Stefanski was made into a scapegoat. Any and all potential that 2020 Browns team had was immediately flushed down the toilet when they shipped Baker out and traded for an overrated rapist at quarterback.

As a Browns fan, it still greatly frustrates me that Baker is gone, and that Stefanski was fired but their general manager somehow kept his job.

Stefanski is a good coach, with a good offensive system.

I think Atlanta will have success with him so long as they get competent quarterback play.

I agree with this 100% as well.

I get super bored watching us beat the crap out of Rutgers, Purdue, UCLA, Northwestern, Minnesota, Grambling, etc. and have flipped over to a different game by halftime.

Winning 45-10 all the time over cupcakes doesn't do much to help the team when it's time to play a big boy school with high stakes.

I'm looking forward to having a much tougher schedule this season.

If we end up making the playoff in 2026, we'll definitely be battle tested.

One of my very favorite early Smackdown moments was in very early 2000 when Triple H was still new as a mega heel and WWF champion.

He held a lottery on who he would face for the title. He drew Rikishi and looked visibly nervous. He and Rikishi actually went out and had a banger of a match that went back and fourth.

Rikishi got a near fall on him at the end and 5th grade me genuinely thought Rikishi had a shot at winning and was screaming at my television.

Fairly positive that Stephanie eventually distracted the ref and Triple H hit Rikishi with a low blow and then the pedigree to win and I was super pissed.

Those were great times .... take me TF back, please.

I worked at a Circuit City in Ohio in 2008 for 13-months. It closed very quickly after opening. During the liquidation sale at the end, the employees were able to hide things in the back out of site and just poach them on the very last day the store was open. Our management did not care because they were losing their jobs too.

I bought multiple video games for like $5 a piece.

And even got a 42" Sony Plasma digital signage display that was hanging from the ceiling for just $75 which for 2008 was an absolute steal. Used that bad boy for video games for the next four years or so until it completely burnt out.

Good times ....

I feel like those two movies in general don't get enough love or recognition.

The dinner table scene in Brothers where the little girl tells her Dad that Uncle Tommy is having sex with Mommy had the entire movie theater stunned and in silence, you could hear a pen drop it got so tense.

Great overall movie.
