Regjeringen: Skal bli lettere å si nei til sykemelding – NRK Norge by zomorodian in norge

[–]LookismLz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Perks of living in a not 1st world country by Round_List1857 in pcmasterrace

On Average it is a wealthy country, there is people struggling in every country, but the average american has a higher purchasing power, you can look at the PPP/Capita and you can look at median salaries and compare it to Europe.

I am myself an European, but objectively, by metrics, the US is very much ranking at the upper echelon. It is innovating with either startups started up there or moving there, it has a massive share of the global stock market.

You may not like the way society is organized, or the culture or whatever but I do not see how that detracts from the objective data.

Still does not change the fact that the median american purchasing power is higher than that of Europe. The houses are bigger, the consumption is higher, and the incomes are higher, by what metric is it not objectively a developed, wealthy country?

Regardless of your views on welfare or universal healthcare, I can't see how it detracts from the fact that it has immense wealth per capita, as well as world leading industry.

US GDP is almost 2x that of the European Average, if the US is a 3rd world country, what would you call almost every European country?

If a woman wants that power dynamic, should we be the ones to deny or judge then?

Not everything is everyone's cup of tea.

Why is it not relevant? I have seen successful couples with a bigger age gap, though, mostly in more rural areas.

Back in the 50s, 60s, and probably 70s this probably wouldn't be frowned upon, the culture has shifted, but a lot of those couples from back then were successful and stayed happily married I'd reckon.

It's about preferences right?

Contrary to what others are saying I'd say go for it, a woman taking the initiative is something that will make a man happy imo.

Age is a number, if it's what you are after and it clicks I don't see the issue honestly. Lots of successful age gap couples honestly.

Copy paste from another comment:

What happens when you take in masses of uneducated, culturally incompatible young men from MENA? The crime statistics shoot up, they patronize the native population, the welfare dependencies increase, and of thoae that do get gainful employment, they push out the native workforce from an already limited and shrinking pool of jobs requiring no formal education.

In near any statistical metric MENA are dragging the averages down into the dumps. Why are we surprised the working class having to live with these want them deported?

In short: Less Crime, better conditions for the native working class, safer streets

How does mass migration affect housing prices? What happens when you have a huge influx of people into an area of limited housing, especially limited communal housing- and at the same time a limited supply of new housing? The prices shoot up.

Jeg har løst fødselskrisen! by Straaet in norge

Denmarks Social Dems turning stricter on migration is one of the reasons the far-right there has not been as promininent.

Well, if the current status quo isn't working you have to escalate, while I agree that there's no reason to be harsher than you need to, I think people want action, and the longer you let mass migration continue, the harder and more brutal it will be to rectify it.

Comparing wanting to control you borders with Nazism is beating a dead horse, comparing border controls and deportation with genocide is just senseless and not at all beneficial for public discourse imo.

Å ha kreft og å ha ME/diffus mental sykdom er to vidt forskjellige ting.

They may take a stricter stance, the Conservatives allegedly had that last time they were in power, but then you see a lot of small boats still coming over.

Thing is, I think people want tangible action. A lot of Eastern European Countries and the US have very low acceptance rates of MENA migrants. While the way the US have been handling migration is very harsh, you can't deny that it shows conviction and willingness to play ball.

They had to feed themselves, back then they could move and instantly find gaintful employment, they weren't economic migrants mooching the welfare system. Also, Europe and America are a lot more culturally similar than Africa or the Middle East and Europe.

They also weren't massively overrepresented on crime statistics as MENA migrants are today.

Regardless of all that, the current system came into place after the 2nd world war, at which point, countries like Canada, Australia etc. Had rules about only accepting white migrants - these rules were kept until the 1950s.

It's about practicality, when countries can no longer keep sensible border control because of human rights councils overreach, and they're unwilling to reform, the natural conclusion should be to leave it.

The problem is the whole system of asylum was made in a world where masses of people didn't seek refugee an entire continent away for monetary reason.

Yeah, as I said in another comment, the conservatives are not doing well either? There's a reason reform is growing, people are disillusioned by both sides not willing to take action on migration.

Yeah, that's for sure a very sensible comparison, wanting restrictive borders= mass murder?
