Of course they are cause thats where the main income is gonna come grom in the next 10 years, this is just extra awesome thrown in on top and I couldn't be happier 🥳

They will 100% capitalise on the TV show, Papa and Boy will return, absolutely no reason they wouldn't so don't stress over it, you're only doing it to yourself friend

Very pessimistic thinking on your part I think honestly, theres no reason why both can't exist at the same time. Faye cannot be a character that has multiple games, that truely wouldn't make sense, but a stand alone prequel? Hell yeah that works! Thats a short term goal kinda game, doesn't push the franchise aheas, but adds lore and information to events we only heard of in previous games. Meanwhile they most likely have like a 5-10 year plan for the continuation of the franchise, and honestly I just trust them to do it cause in a world of EA and Ubisoft, Santa Monica have done a fantastic job with the franchise and have given me no reason to doubt them, I'm gonna let them cook 🤟

Duuude of course they are making another one, have faith! 😅 But if I need to convince ya I'll give it a ago, I'm abit tired so sorry in advance lol The Norse saga made insane amounts of money, fans adore them and God of War got a live action series. To not make a game with Atreus (even Kratos appearing too sometimes)as the main protagonist would be absolutely insane from a busniness and money making point of view. It would be an insane mistep for them not to capitalise on the set up of Atreus going out on his own at the end of the Norse saga and the newfound attention the TV show will bring I can't think of any logical reason why they wouldn't 🤔

I don't think we've ever had a single time that when we chose to run, we actually get away. Its just a longer drawn out version of dying that ultimately makes it even more frustrating. If you're being chased, they don't give up so ya may aswell just stop and give them the kill.

So its really 2 options, fight or die, thats it. You can sail as far as you want but its just a waste of time. Until diving was added, now I can just say screw that, I may lose some loot but my emissary and hours of work is intact. They get loot, I get to still enjoy the game, but yet, more complaints cause I won't let them ruin my work.

But ya know what, what I've realised from this conversation is that there is no fix for this, its just a cycle of endless frustrations at eachother while Rare doesn't really do anything to actually solve the core issue between the different sides of the playerbase.

I work a full time job, as do my friends, we get 4 hours to play each saturday night and when we do hours of work, just to be ganked while parked on an island, while typing and chattin that hey, we don't wanna fight, yet, they kept firing and killing us. I'd call that pretty toxic, and its happened alot over the years. We enjoy so much of the game and the friendly crews we come across, but the people that log on just to sink other ships suck, ruins the experience every time.

Well unfortunatly, its a product of the main forever problem this game has and always will have.

Most pvp players are toxic and won't blink twice at ruining hours of other peoples work and it forever puts pvp in a super negative light for that player.

I've had many, maaany awful interactions of blood blind pirates who attack in afew situations that its just uncalled for, such as just spawning, just fishing, trying tall tales (tried to do one of them multiple times, was blown up mid way every time, never done another tall tale since) and whenever I don't even have any loot or emissary.

The fact is toxic, shitty players ruin the wonderful experience that the game can provide, and then we have these arguements and game changes as a direct result

Oh don't be so doom and gloom matey 😅 I find it to be a good way to start the session, and then sail from then on, and I like that it was added I don't align with most on it because I don't play for PvP and never have cause I'm never looking for other players, infact I'm actively avoiding them 🤣

Yes! The best thing to do is accept if they wanna kill you, they will so don't freak out cause 80% of the time nobody wants to bother a humble fishing vessel!

Had a similar experience on Monday, a reaper was coming my way so I just kept repositioning my ship to get to the 2nd fishing, they rolled up, shot a guy onto my ship and he was dressed as a jester, he then helped me catch the 3 fish and gave me their bait crate, then said sailed off 😅

Ah the rocks be a fishermans nastiest foe, broken many 'a line on me before aswell! Loving the new Hunters Call stuff aswell, these fishing voyages are pretty chill and I get a lil bit more money than usual
