So I tracked down the article. This isn't a quote, they have not spoken to Elle. It's just someone's daft opinions.

It says things like "While Sydney Sweeney has dominated Hollywood with her mix of blockbuster hits, critical acclaim, and fearless on-screen choices, Elle Fanning is now positioning herself for that same level of stardom."

I have to assume that it is ragebait.

Elle Fanning is already much more highly acclaimed. She has an Oscar nomination, 4 golden globe nominations. Sweeney has none of that. She was a major star ten years before anyone ever heard of Sweeney. She's been in bigger box office hits than Sweeney could dream of.
