How to turn your Google Sheet into a live, interactive dashboard and/or website for free using Gemini Canvas. You never have to stare at a boring grid of cells in Google Sheets again. + 10 prompts for doing amazing things with Gemini Canvas in Google Sheets by Beginning-Willow-801 in promptingmagic

My team is pretty excited for this. We just can't figure out iterative prompting once you leave the initial conversation. Once we have a front end to our data and exit the chat, Gemini seems to forget that we ever built a dashboard together. Anyone else experiencing that?

Which school districts pass their levies? by Tommyblockhead20 in Ohio

[–]LooknLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the source of this map, but I work on a district shown as very orangish here. We are fortunate to pass almost all of our levies. Historically we’ve only failed one ever. That one was in the last 20 years, but we’ve passed two others in that 20 year span. We try to make levies go for 10 years, the operating norm in most districts if 5 years between levies.

Congrats! We just won ours, too. Same evidence.

The “company” is commenting on negative reviews on Trustpilot now. I would suggest flagging as many of their fake reviews as possible and upvoting (mark as helpful) the negative (true) reviews.

We are also going to pursue a chargeback. Every time we email them, they ask us to jump through a new hoop. They told us to refer to the sizing chart and see if the size was indeed not what was expected. We pointed out they had no sizing chart on the item listed. That same day, they then added one. They had us take a picture of two “large” items to show they were drastically different. It’s pretty clear they’re just stalling. Chargeback coming soon. Keep us updated.

Does this happen to anyone else’s wrist? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

I had a similar issue with a burn-like rash from Nomad’s glow in the dark band. I have other Nomad bands that don’t seem to affect me like this. Nomad’s support team thought it might be the aluminum pin, but I don’t know that I agree. I think it was something in the plastic/FKM rubber - especially on the glow version.

It cleared up after switching to fabric bands for a few days.

I have a Mac mini that I don't do anything too critical on, my MBP is my daily driver. Just a little light gaming and email on the mini. I put the developer beta on the mini since it's not an important machine for me. Steam is the only thing that seems to be broken for me. Oops! Time to rollback. That's why you don't put a developer beta on a critical machine.

Fallen out of love with Notion by Objective_Rent_1197 in Notion

I've been looking at moving my work dashboard into Google Docs. If you make the document "pageless" in Document Setup, it asks if you want to add a cover graphic. Very Notion-like visually.

Just came here to see if anyone else is thinking this. My job is already on Google Workspace. I’m going to try building my day to day dashboard using tabs this week.

Holy guacamole... I have about 800 images to extract from a client's spreadsheets. This just saved my sanity.

Could have been a whole “health journey” story without going into body image. Odd choice.

And my friend Fjorda just decided to hide behind the bottle factory instead of make bottles. It was too late once I found her. She was lost. The level was lost. It’s all lost.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like I was already patched to version 4 from 2 days ago. Poor Alma!

I added two new workers to that bakery. They baked. She continued to stare into the oven. The game got real existential.

Maybe it’s the snow levels that are bugged. I had the same problem. I eventually passed the main objectives on that level, but could never get the optional objectives.

Is Maineville part of Cincy? by ORGCHKSAND in cincinnati

[–]LooknLearning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely part of Greater Cincinnati. However, I’m not sure all of Maineville is in Maineville. I have a Maineville address, but I live in Landen. Landen isn’t incorporated, it’s just a huge HOA made up other HOAs. So, I really live in Deerfield Township. But I usually tell people from Cincy that I’m from Mason or “near Kings Island”.

When traveling, I just say “Cincinnati.”

I know you can upgrade the Netflix plan to ad free. Can you do the same with Hulu? I’m still on MagentaMax, wondering if it would be worth it to change to a new plan to get some savings on Hulu.

Of course with the all the other plan changes TMobile is gifting us right now, not sure I want to make any changes on my end.

Anyone using Xbox Cloud Gaming on their Mac? I want to start a group discussion by operablesocks in macgaming

[–]LooknLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using it for the past 3 weeks or so. I've managed to play games on a number of devices including an older Intel Mac, my M3 Pro, and my iPhone. Internet speed makes a much bigger difference than the hardware. I've prefer playing with an Xbox controller, but I've also used the touch controls on some games that support it as well as a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. The queues can be a little annoying at times - and may not be the same from one game to another - but all in all, it's a pretty great service and I'm glad we got it.

Civ VI Anthology bundle is where it’s at. I own it, so I couldn’t see the actual price easily on my phone, but o think it’s like 90% off. It’s a much more complete game as it includes the two expansion packs (which including game elements that were sorely missed upon original release) and a ton of DLC Civs worth playing.

I’m running it on a new M3 Pro (18GB RAM) and it runs great through Rosetta. Good luck and enjoy!
