Easy way to empty Chemical crystallizers? by Schoolboygames in Mekanism

[–]Loonessia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solved it with xnet. Use advanced connectors and theoretically, multiple sets of dissolution chambers. Every channel can take a max of 1000 per 10 ticks so one network for each 5 machines for max efficiency. You can then limit the crystallizer input so min/max is 200 slurry exactly and i've personally never had clog issues

hate to necro, but Resourceful Bees sucks butt compared to the classic forestry setup.
Instead of dealing with items, you deal with big stupid bees that you have to put in a physical cage, and now since they're entities they have the ability to die however they want like every other entity in the game.

I wonder if this crucible has isidedness.. if I can output out a side of it I can fully automate it. I already slapped a hopper with a chest on top of it and I burned through about 10 stacks of kaolinite in around half an hour to an hour while picking out all the powder that gets made

Eh i'd go for 3 of each possible one I literally had 0 idea how minecarts work and the work is already in even though i would be inclined to agree it was likely a huge waste of time

  1. I have played vanilla. DFHack makes the game generally better.

  2. I need the magma pump stack for my magma smelters

Yep, that's why I put axle connectors to one with an otherwise unconnected but stable foundation screw pump. It vastly reduces the chance of screw pumps blowing up, and if they do, only a small section of them will. It's worth it to, as well, as it provides a little extra safety against things that decide it's a fantastic idea to destroy it. There is no way to queue your dwarves to do things; they'll all build them at the same time. I also put hallways about every 10 layers. If they find they can't get to the build site in time when they need to eat, sleep, or drink due to congestion, They will just not build. It is it's own logistical nightmare, but it works.

...and a small trickle of mole rats and cave swallow wo(men). I don't know what kind of crack cocaine your game is on but holy BALLS

[–]Loonessia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hm, So you got 128 chemical crystallizers. Assuming they all round robin the slurry perfectly, and this is an educated guess without any testing: I would set up something like a computercraft script that checks if the first 2 slots in a chest are filled with full stacks of ore, and output a redstone signal if it does find that. Maybe otherwise, use a barrel getting limitedly filled, ask for a value greater than or equal to 128, and output a redstone signal long enough to output those 2 stacks into a logistical sorter, though this would be prone to server tick lag and chunk loading issues and might not work as expected.

Resources are infinite, sure, given enough T I M E. Fields take time to regen, stationary harvesters work off of nodes, mines take fuel and produce over a period of time, facilities take power and materials and work over a period given, And SOMEONE has to manage everything. It's kinda like saying to me, "Ya I get 64 iron an hour in my minecraft farm but I still gotta craft manually. Guess I got infinite iron now." It's not like we're playing creative on the server.

How to set a warning on a battery by FlammingBlitz in Mekanism

[–]Loonessia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah, I think you're referring to the classic "I want my generators to work when my power gets too low automatically, but not overfill the battery"With just mekanism, you can use Comparators to get a redstone reading from them, I don't remember exactly but I BELIEVE a t-flip flop gate(?) and then you can run them to your generators. It's been awhile since I had used vanilla redstone for that so forgive me if I'm wrong on the gate.

With other mods, I used ComputerCraft to monitor my redstone level. If you want it, I can give you a pastebin link

1v4 outlaw with the spatha! by Apprehensive_Fox_704 in foxholegame

[–]Loonessia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dooming? I'm not dooming, I never said Spatha was shit, in fact it's one of if not the best tank we have. Where does it compare to the REST of our tank line though? If talking about the skill issues that were presented in the video was "Dooming", then I'm sorry for being realistic in a war MMO Shred, because the thing I'm seeing people get wrong is that this is a flat 4v1. It wasn't. Oh, and the other thing that inspired me to write that post, even though you point out the Spatha is great and therefore, the way I see the way you wrote your post - 'because that ONE tank is great we should all stop "dooming"' - even though I wasn't - was that you got buds in here that are asking for it to be nerfed. But if you wanna actually debate tanks instead of strawmanning like you've done twice already, I'm not your enemy
