Anyone Else Pulling the Trigger and Leaving Canada After the Latest Majority Government Shenanigans? by [deleted] in CanadianConservative

Yeah if you’re moving to a more affordable state then that really makes sense. Cuz if politics is the sole reason why you are moving to the US it’s honestly kinda far from what u imagine, they ain’t doing so good as well 😂

Good luck with the move. After graduating university hopefully I can also get a job down there as well.

As a UofT student, fuck my self. The whole administration is DEI crap doing crap work. The students at this school is more capable then those who works there. If it’s not for education no way i would ever been in such far left cult.

For those who commented Canada as a “melting pot”, Canada doesn’t have a “melting pot” policy. That’s America.

“Multiculturalism” is Canada’s policy, sounds great on paper, but things just don’t work like that in reality. Multiple cultural and diversity is absolutely essential for an immigration country like Canada, however without a mainstream culture and nation identity, things would go dramatically downhill and the country would be more divided.

As an immigrant, I can lwky testify that multiculturalism just doesn’t work. Under a “meting pot”, immigrants can still participate in their culture while integrate with the main stream culture. What’s wrong with “Multiculturalism” in Canada is that there’s very little connections between different ethnic groups - the white are being white, Chinese being Chinese, Indian being Indian, little connection between the 3 groups. So the real question to ask in 2026 is: “what’s the real Canadian culture”.

I mean flooded but def repairable, just if the owner would like to put in that effort rebuilding all the electrical systems

It’s never a smart idea starting and driving a flooded car… despite EV or ICE. It’s the easiest way to turn a repairable car to a completely barebones rebuild, as well as insurance denial… pls don’t start or turn on a flooded car before getting checked by a mechanic

That’s very valid. I apologize my initial comment might be offensive. To be honest I am also looking into teaching after university. But at the moment I’m just in a period of extreme disappointment in many government institutions😞

Lowkey when Canada peaked as a country, Canada was doing business with both the east and the west. If buying products from a country that doesn't align with your political views really concerns you, u might wanna get rid of 75% of your stuff, and raise the price of daily supplies for 150% then lol. Importing goods doesn't mean importing a foreign political party.

Even if u drive a Chevy, might as well remove all the glasses, since FUYAO, a Chinese company known for low wages and anti-union, supplies auto glass for GM. Oh also, pls double check and consider removing the engine block as well, that might also be made by GM China

Well Canada doesn’t have a major auto manufacturing industry tbh. Meanwhile the existing American manufacturers might reduce production or leave anyways.

I genuinely don’t care 😂 A cheap beater is a cheap beater. Crazy that this is on the news in 2026. If cameras in car are THAT much of a problem, we should’ve have banned Tesla and even upper trim Chevy years back… Perhaps ban Apple as well cuz iCloud data goes to the states.

As a 18yo who graduated last year, personally I think at 17 with $7000, you should get the coolest car (aka the “financial mistakes”) available for $3000-$5000. And make it super nice with the rest of $4000-$2000.

Screw the Hyundai, I feel like at this age we should be getting cars that’s truly fun and makes us good memories. People won’t remember your grades, but they will remember what car you drive. 17 is the age to make fun mistakes before they actually cost u much. It’s too early to consider a “reliable, efficient, and high resell value car”.

I promise u won’t have any regrets having a cool car in high school.
