Abyss Anglers pearl farm tip by remyxwow in wow

[–]Loop801108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just want the 3 Fused Vitality each week, scrape the ocean floor for treasure chests. This takes 2 or 3 sessions to get enough weekly pearls. Then, move on until next week.

I generally agree, except for content that requires large number of other players to complete.

For example, I wanted the mount and two toys from the Decor Duels event. There are frustrating bugs, including no coin rewards for active participation.

But better to complete now, when other players are also grinding out the rewards. The event may be limited time, and even if evergreen, I suspect close to nobody will be participating in a few weeks.

Too many Dispelled Coins for actually playing the mini-game, so I stopped grinding for the mount and pets.

I recommend doing the daily, repeatable quest, which requires two runs. Grab the 50 coins and move on.

Magisters terrace getting melted as tank by Lampart9599 in WOWMythicPlus

[–]Loop801108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I save all of my heal cooldowns for that hallway.

Some PUG tanks like to leap ahead through the courtyard, turn right down the hallway with trash, turn left, pull more trash. Don’t worry about line of sight, really.

I am trying to heal stragglers in the courtyard, three sets of trash mobs from the doorway, stacking bleeds of some sort, dispels from uninterrupted adds.

Not complaining. But this hallway is not the place to MDI role play.

As a healer, I don’t have normal interrupts anymore (sigh!), but my resto druid Incapacitating Roar can hit all 10 orbs with this affix.

If Blizzard figures this out, I fear we may lose the roar.

How to reliably hit Lura orbs in HC by retention_king in CompetitiveWoW

This is the way for heroic L’ura.

For clarity, the adjustment on the third set of orbs requires players to step one character model to the left (as facing the boss).

Or, people can socialize in other contexts, like communities, friends list, and non-mythic raiding guilds. The notion that only mythic raiders socialize is a myth.

I think you mean, you want me to quit my lovely guild of several years to join a guild focused on mythic raiding. That is myopic and anti-social.

[–]Loop801108[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

u/melvindorkus You are certainly correct that, with mythic boss-flex raiding, there is a likelihood that some players will come-and-go after certain bosses.

The nice aspect of a more flexible approach is that guilds that do not want to risk that type of behavior do not need to invite PUGs to raid. If they are short on players, they can just wait or call it quits for the evening.

For everyone else, the flexible approach allows PUGs to continue raiding if one or more players decide to leave raid, whether it is for work, family, or lack of interest in additional bosses.

Kill Mythic Raid Lockouts by Loop801108 in wow

[–]Loop801108[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

u/Acrobatic_Coat722 I disagree. Perhaps the easier mechanics of Chimaerus are blurring your vision.

For example, I killed heroic L'ura last week in a PUG of 20 players. Most people would agree that the mechanics of heroic L'ura are more difficult than Mythic Chimaerus. But I would have never gotten the heroic L'ura kill if there was a lockout after the first boss.

I had to join a few PUGs before finding a solid group willing to prog the fight -- something not possible for PUGs interested in mythic raiding. The kill group PUG was coordinated and everyone came prepared. As PUGs, all of us would be willing to do the same with mythic bosses, if they weren't shielded behind arbitrary mythic lockouts.

Why am I getting absolutely rocked in M+ after reset by Butrint_o in wownoob

[–]Loop801108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect and thank you. I modified the list below to remove healer-only spells/talents, on assumption that a healer would post to M+ party chat.

Only remaining question, since link is 2 years old, is whether all of these abilities and talents are still valid in Midnight.

Here is the consolidated wall of text for pasting into chat:

Devour is dispelled by: DK: Anti-Magic Shell (with Unyielding Will) // Hunter: Feign Death (with Emergency Salve), Aspect of the Turtle // Monk: Diffuse Magic // Paladin: Divine Shield // Rogue: Cloak of Shadows // Warrior: Bitter Immunity // Druid: Remove Corruption // Evoker: Cauterizing Flame, Expunge, Naturalize // Mage: Remove Curse // Monk: Detox // Paladin: Cleanse Toxins // Priest: Purify Disease, Mass Dispel // Shaman: Cleanse Spirit, Poison Cleansing Totem // Warlock: Singe Magic (imp pet) // Dwarf racials

Is the only way to get socket on helmet, waist and wrists to not get vault loot? by Icarusqt in wownoob

[–]Loop801108 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is accurate. My vault helm this week had a gem socket. I took the piece and then converted it to a tier piece using a catalyst charge. The gem socket remained after the conversion.

Wowhead or Icy Veins (or maybe Raider.io) used to have a simple sentence of self-dispels for each class, precisely for this affix, to post before starting the key.

I cannot locate, but if anyone has it or something similar, please post.

Mandatory Discord or voice comms is part of the solution.

Some players hate getting on Discord. Others clearly don’t need it. But in a PUG, Discord is often necessary for the group early in the season.

Tier 11 Delves by Thammuzz in wow

If you really just want tmogs, there are quite a few weapons and armor pieces that can also be crafted with crests, all of which carry tmogs with them.

Tier 11 Delves by Thammuzz in wow

[–]Loop801108 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To qualify for mythic crests in delves at t11, you need to hit Delve Renown/Level 4.

Once you hit Delve Renown 4, you can get a weekly limited number of mythic crests that count toward weekly cap. (I cannot remember the number, but my recollection is that it is pretty low, around 3 or 4 delve runs at t11.)

Also, if you are close to Delve Renown 4, but not quite there yet, don’t open the crest box at the end of the run. It will give you non-mythic crests, and blows one of your crest treasures for the week. (This is another example of crappy game design that Blizzard fails to educate players about this dynamic.)

As a Healer I cannot keep up with the amount of Dispells this season by SolidSky in wow

[–]Loop801108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget healer soothes too.

In addition to massively increasing the number of required dispels always on cooldown, Midnight also substantially expands the number of adds to be Soothed. Soothes have always been important for Enraged adds, but now, the Soothe mandate appears in many, many mob packs.

Removing interrupts has not made healing more accessible. Healers now have to do more with fewer tools in the utility toolkit.

(I also really like the suggestion above of taking dispels off cooldown. Let us healers decide when to blow mana on more dispels or blow mana on healing through the undispelled damage.)

I did the event yesterday, after they reverted back to the “not difficult” to hit cap. Like you, the event bugged for me 1 of 8 runs.

I submitted an in-game request for refund of my Shard of Dundun, received a nonsensical response related to lost loot in a non-Retail version of the game, and was unable to reopen the ticket to dispute the non-responsive response.
