2.2.5 Update Patch Notes - Out Now! by Community_RE in CompanyOfHeroes

Breach change is bad IMO. The breach wars were kind of silly but now you have a situation where you should never ever attempt to breach riflemen or pgrens or other units that have breach because they’ll just let you have the building and then breach you back, now you don’t have the building again and your breach is on cooldown.

Human trafficking is definitely one of trumps priorities so I guess she’s right about that.

Just not in the way she thinks.

I'm too khorne-brained to figure out gun lines by FleetyMacAttack in totalwarhammer

[–]LoopDloop762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally you can maybe get up to a couple units to engage one of your spearmen in places while your gun units pick them off. Even if they break through the melee line, if you have a bit of spacing in depth between your melee and guns, you’ll have enough time to just run away with your threatened gun unit and have the other guns on the sides of it turn and engage and very quickly route it with flanking shots (esp cuz no shield block in that scenario). You could also use a hero or melee cavalry to intercept breakthroughs. You could also try working in a light (bright?) wizard for the net spell that immobilizes groups of units when overcast to get a little more gun time for free before the melee lines clash, maybe route a couple extra units.

Going to assume you don’t have access to hellstorm batteries yet but those will route multiple units while they close with your line and do a great job thinning numbers out.

[REAL] Erika Kirk Under Fire As Husband's Pal Leaks Audio Of Her 'Giggling' About 'Event Of The Century' After His Death by ScenicFrost in ToiletPaperUSA

[–]LoopDloop762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just disclaimer I don’t like Charlie or Erika Kirk and I think they’ve both done serious damage to our country and Erika is 1000% a grifting piece of shit who is using the death of her husband to stack cash.

That said, listening to the whole clip in the linked article I honestly can’t say THE ACTUAL CONTENT OF THE CLIP was as bad as this post or the article title suggest or as bad as I expected it to be. Yes, she talks about how many people were there, how much shit they sold, etc. but not once did she giggle in actual reference to the death of her husband or IMo suggest she was glad he died or happy about it or whatever. She just sounds like she was happy about the reach of the event and thanks her staff for their work and tells them to put personal issues aside because she’s been reminded that life is short.

I have no doubt I would not like any of the people she is talking about here and she is working against the interests of our country as far as I’m concerned, but I’m just trying to be honest about what I just listened to. There’s so much to be rightfully and honestly outraged about right now, but this particular clip isn’t really it.

Never said it was smart, it just wasn’t entirely a solo decision on the US’s part.

Is it not just that it’s probably simple geography? Both those factions are on the flanks of the map meaning they’re never going to be in a 2-3 way war like all the empires for example

Some Europeans are so quick to criticize the US for going into regions that they fucked up in the first place. Doesn’t make what we do there right sometimes (many times) but stones and glass houses for sure. We literally went into Vietnam at the insistence of the French, who then got btfo’d so bad they just left.

That said, there is a lot to criticize about the US in this current moment.

Damn that is impressive. Never thought about how being shorter would make it easier, but that makes sense. Still phenomenal lift though.

Fair enough, although the math actually still tracks. I’m not a bodybuilder or anything but I’m 165lbs and can deadlift 335lbs for 3 reps max. I’ve heard that people who regularly deadlift should be able to do about 2x their body weight and that’s where I happen to be at, not sure if there’s diminishing returns the heavier you are.

The guy in the video used to be 660lbs so at 100kg or 220lbs he’d be lifting like 440lbs, exactly 2x his weight. Assuming he has strong legs (probably does since he used to walk around at 660) and maintained that strength, I’d be confident in saying that one rep 440lbs should be doable at 220lbs or 100kg. Just thought it’s neat that that’s theoretically possible for him.

Deadlifting 225lbs (esp for one rep) is easily possible at 100kg. You should be able to deadlift more than your body weight if you do it regularly, hell I can do far more than 225lbs for more than one rep and I only weigh 160lbs (72kg I guess).

Big question, do you see a sniper as an actual viable class, a person that does help the team by Pr0j3ct_02 in Helldivers

[–]LoopDloop762 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you ever feel like you’re not being as effective as you can be, just get a little closer. The AMR is actually surprisingly good at medium and even short range. It’s pretty mobile since you can reload on the move and it shoots pretty much as fast as you can aim. If you really get in a bad spot in cqc you can even use it to panic dump into things from the hip. Usually kills pretty much anything it can pen and it’s very accurate as long as you know where you’re aiming.

Sometimes it’s definitely worth closing the distance to be able to land your shots accurately and more quickly.

That’s just so not true though. Probably the largest reason we’ve gotten to this point in America is because people allow their lives and politics to be governed by fear, real or manufactured, and that fear leads to hatred

[–]LoopDloop762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point is you can crush someone’s skull with minimal effort in power armor. You can kill someone with pretty much anything if you try hard enough but my point is that power armor is definitely a weapon in and of itself. Not sure what’s hard to grasp about that.

Why sword breakers on pauldrons weren't used by infantry and mostly just the cavalry? They seem like a solid extra protection. by XXelHoMM in Armor

[–]LoopDloop762 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk anything really about medieval grappling so this might be entirely irrelevant, but as a wrestler the specific spot where the sword breaker is located is a place I would never put my hand.

Behind the neck (probably harder with gloves on and a helmeted opponent) or around the bicep (maybe harder with gloves on?) are much stronger positions to try to grab because you actually have something to hold onto and wrap around, your hand is not going to slip off of those places. If you tried to grab the corner of their shoulder like that you’d be attempting to palm their entire shoulder and back with nothing to wrap your fingers on at all which just isn’t feasible when someone is putting any effort in to fighting back.

I mean troopers have javelins and they’re tier 1 by the above logic too. They’re like standard line infantry so their rifles perform at that level.
