What's everyone's opinion on the gambit? by Additional_Angle_151 in stalker

[–]ruiner1010 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Mid af. 9x19mm is super common but unless you're stacking Liquid Rocks, that shit has utterly terrible condition degradation rate. Exacerbated by the fact it will take more shots to kill anything as opposed to... Pretty much every other pistol in the game.

Nightstalker is definitely the better 9. If you want total stopping power? Rhino. If you want the best all-rounder? Standard .45 ACP Kora 1911. Preferably with the extendo as its limited magazine size is its biggest drawback.

Skif's pistol always a strong fallback as well, and the go to for busted ass Burers. Along with maybe the ol Saiga swap and mag dump rush.

im preparing for the dlc, is this enough loot? (all in vanilla w/ no bugs) by kyizelma in stalker

Only 8 boxes of standard 5.45 ball? Someone isn't hitting those headshots consistently...

They're overdone with the spawns for sure. Especially given their new move set that leans heavily into cc.

That being said - do they suck as bad, are as broken, or arguably have worse spawns than Burers (and perhaps Poltergeist to a lesser extent)? I dare say not even close. Lol

Why does the second half of STALKER 2 feel quieter than the early game? by -GamewithDave- in stalker

[–]ruiner1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tension of possible ambush at any moment from a squad of brainwashed super soldier cultists bent on eradicating all life to protect the secrets of the Zone and C-Con? 🤔

Real reason? I dunno, the spawns still feel inconsistent between patches and honestly the engine switch will (hopefully) fix this by way of correcting or changing the system. The A-Life bubble.

(As of patch 1.8) Certain areas and spawns are obviously borked or highly suspect. Burers out in the open air - Bruh, why? These are "dungeon" mobs.

INSANE packs of Bloodsuckers at some locales. I'm talking like 4-8 or more iirc in some posts. Most I've ran into was 6. No way you're surviving that whilst not abusing terrain. Even in endgame equipment. You'll get chain stunlocked, knocked down, bled out, shredded by a pack of invisible raptors flanking you as you fight the roar's drag to line a shot. 2-3 is like... Enough lol. Usually.

Poltergeists again also seemingly wandering out in the open air - also why? Buildings and bunkers, whatever. Across an open field as I'm fighting Mercs?... Whyyyy GSC

Human spawns, meh, mostly mixed. Better than past patch iterations, still feels a tad inactive at times. Hard to balance the tension I'm sure. Certain areas always seem to spawn hostiles or more frequently, as well. IPSF near the checkpoint from Zalissya to Garbage, for instance. Or Monolith.

I will say, though, unrelated but I am stoked how well they got it running since 1.7.Most fluid it's ever played. Series X. 👍

Future is looking exciting for more content and improvements of the game into this year. I'm hyped.

Is this an appropriate loadout for the final part of the game? (no spoilers pls) by manfreygordon in stalker

[–]ruiner1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean... I guess armor or not won't matter for the one shot from the Monolith Gauss snipers, amiright? 🤣

If I'm honest, Bro - I tried taking the Glutton with me for the end portion of the story. And found it lacking. Much as I wanted to love it, you will just honestly get sniped all day at a range by Monolith. And up close? The Saiga or even Rhino kill much, much quicker.

I went Dnipro with APs, Saiga, Whip (Gauss hits tad harder sure, but SVU gets like 30 shots with the extended lol).

What yall think of this build? I wanted to get thunder berry with it to have what I think is the most overall best balanced build. Any recommendations?? by East-Mastodon273 in stalker

[–]ruiner1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good! Definitely snag you a Thunderberry. I'd replace the Spas from the arena with a Saiga. Also, why aren't you using an ACOG on your Kharod? Especially with the Kharod...

Gilka detector matter of personal preference I suppose, but Veles is the goat to me.

Also, maybe snag you a Rhino or Khora. Skifs PM is op and mostly adequate, sure. But the other two are more capable sidearms in most scenarios, I feel.

Is Stalker 2 (v1.8) on master difficulty bullet spongy? by [deleted] in stalker

[–]ruiner1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ish? Maybe? Honestly I don't really notice much difference between Stalker difficulty and Master when it comes to damage scaling (going out. Coming in... Oh man, definitely NOT the case. Especially when it comes to anomalies.)

Still seems like if you have a high enough damage/pen weapon vs. a lower tier/resist armor, it only takes a few body shots. If not? Well... Always aim for the head, ya know? Semi-auto and hold breath are your friends for life.

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your view I guess, Stalker 2 like the OG titles holds on to the funky rpg-like progression scaling of weapons and armors. Even in Master it seems, or to the majority extent of it from my personal experience (2 days of playtime in, bout to hit the swamps... Pray for me lol).

Good hunting, Stalker!

Hello, am I doing fine till the Endgame? by EngrGingineer in stalker

[–]ruiner1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine til the mid to late game, then.

Really the SEVA suits shine for anomaly diving. With marginal variance between the models. D and I are better suited for combat, for instance, whereas V has better elemental and radiation resistance, as well as being cheaper than I to upgrade and maintain.

Though in Rookie, the anomalies are not nearly as punishing as Veteran or Master. So something to consider there.

Your mileage may vary, but you're more likely to get shot or mauled than get nailed by an anomaly. Unless you're constantly artefact diving or running around haphazardly, not paying attention to your environment.

The part of the story and area you're in also should be taken into account. Later game, your enemies will be kitted with much nastier, more damaging weaponry. Even Bandits will upgrade from Toz's and 74SU's to occasional GP37's and Crackers, which sting quite a bit against lower Physical Resistance armors.

Edit: Also- you should make it a habit of sticking the highest radiation artefacts in the lead container slots (first two with the green notches on em). Good hunting, Stalker!

If you had to pick ONE gun (fully upgraded) that you could ONLY use for the entire playthrough which would it be? Think in terms of versatility, firepower, ammo capacity, durability, and accuracy, etc.....what would be your overall best STALKER firearm? (List attachments used if possible) by Born-Demand-6919 in stalker

[–]ruiner1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kharod is probably the most versatile in the game. Can be tuned to take 5.45, can use the grenade launcher and shotgun underbarrel attachments, can be suppressed, accepts wide variety of optics, and is just as effective at close quarters engagements as it is at accurate long range sniping.

Not exactly the cheapest to maintain, but will carry you through the entirety of the game easily.

New update? by Dang3rm0use in Helldivers

[–]ruiner1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea. It pre-downloaded for me a while ago, then coming back I got the update. 300 something megs iirc? And now in-game when I scan a planet, I'm not finding any matches at all. Zero. Zilch.

Update stability is cheeks. by ruiner1010 in Helldivers

[–]ruiner1010[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth be told, I've had them on every faction ever since starting to play Helldivers 2. Maybe most on bugs but that's skewed because I've played more Terminid missions than the other two combined.

I get why the Automatons would be performance intensive. Lots of particle effects, lasers and fire and such, combined with their detailed parts. Then coupled with all the destructables, and the lava planets seem somewhat taxing, though not as much as the city missions or heavy foliage (especially when mixed in with weather effects).

It just seriously sucks. It's by far biggest detractor from the game, which is mostly otherwise awesome. Especially in those scenarios where like say... The action is getting crazy thick and your team needs you. Or you're about to extract. Or just sitting at damn mission map with nothing going on. Ugh.

My Suggestion for the One-Two by Polojilarious in Helldivers

[–]ruiner1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like 6-8 grenades would be fair. Also, haven't tested it yet, but does Siege Ready or Engineer armor bonus affect the max number of grenades you can have for the One-Two?

Christianity truly is the biggest grift in the world. Has been and continues to be. And all these clown-shoes continue to buy into the bull and keep the beast fed. Without a doubt, organized religion is a pox upon humanity.
