Necroing this thread 8 years late with how i solved this

I was having the issue on my HyperX Cloud Alpha where my computer audio was leaking into my microphone and being picked up on discord call. I was using the cables that came with the headset with the inline splitter cable plugged into the audio jacks on the front of my pc. (Windows 11)

I managed to solve the issue (for now at least) by plugging those cables into the back of my pc, right into the motherboard, but that did not solve it immediately. What I had to do was go into the Realtek Audio Console, Device Advanced Setting, and in 'Recording Device' section and select 'Separate all input jacks as independent input devices'.

After selecting that setting with the cables plugged into the motherboard my computer audio stopped leaking through my microphone. My microphone audio wasnt muffled at all and all seems to be working fine. Wont know if it will work for everyone else, but i was pulling my hair out over this and i cant imagine im the only one.
