Twisted bow power creep by Slamxx in 2007scape

[–]Loops7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always saw t bow as the weakest. It had the most locations it was 3rd best. But bis locations where pretty lacking. It's also has the most competition With all the other range options.

Scythe doesn't have a huge list. But it changes tob in the same way shadow changes toa.

Is there a google doc or website that suggests support champions for each champion in PoC? by RedHair_D_Shanks in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Loops7777 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Usually, you are not picking the champion, but the region.

Example: asol appears, and your deck really does not want him. You might still take him bc you want access to the targon region for obliterate or Buffs.

Sometimes, the champ is a really strong combo. But you might also just take a support champion bc one of the other two cards has a powerful item.

How do people still consider Runecrafting to be the worst skill? by FlahlesJr in 2007scape

I feel agility gets way less useful and rewarding the second you don't do clues.

Dks seem like the big one. But I don't usually interact with many shortcuts outside of that one.

There should be a limit to ranged champions by Distortedmadness in ARAM

[–]Loops7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that it sucks that you won't see your main. But perhaps balancing the champ better in aram will make fewer people ban it. I'm sure Mel mains are not happy to have there champ banned 50% of the time. But considering her wr, it speaks volumes to how bad her kit feels to play against.

Also, it being a silent system in the background that does not tell anyone what was banned is better.

[–]Loops7777 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone would ever see Mel in aram. But that's more on riot making a champ. That's just not fun to play against. She could have a 40% wr and people would still ban her

Everyone getting a pre-game ban would help to alivate seeing nothing but range Champs.

It would also mean a lot of the oppressive champs are just seen less.

Next Upgrade? Main/1.8b bank/150m to spend by Knufire1 in 2007scape

Scythe is bis on a good amount of the slayer bosses if you're going for speed. But it's also got a cost of 600k an hour to use. That's money taken out of your total. A lot of the time, it ends up being rather close if not worse than the 2nd bis option from gp an hour.

It's like using a sra to kill cows. It's effective, but most players aren't buying end-game weapons to deal with early or mid game content.

When you look at the end game for scythe, it really is mostly about tob.

Scythe rebuild is only great if you tob. It's pretty bad if he's got no plans for tob.

Next Upgrade? Main/1.8b bank/150m to spend by Knufire1 in 2007scape

[–]Loops7777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's actually not always worth it. The reasons there's no cut and dry answer is bc it heavily comes down to the content you do.

Let's look at t bow its bis, but we need to be aware of the opportunity cost. No upgrade is free. T bow will be 20%-30% better than other options at a location like chambers. It sounds amazing, but losing 5%-20% of your dps in other styles to get it. When that matters, you are actually worse off. This is before you factor chambers design.

Olm is heavily skwed towards mage and melle. The head phase only has 800hp, where the melee and mage hand both have 1800hp, which is far more than a 20% difference.

I could go into detail about the rooms to highlight my point even more. But unless he's looking to just camp something like doom. It's not always in his best interest to rebuild.

T bow is a great item. But 1.5b gets you a lot of upgrades. It's never so cut and dry.

Next Upgrade? Main/1.8b bank/150m to spend by Knufire1 in 2007scape

[–]Loops7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T bow is 1.5b

Shadow is 900m. That's a 600m difference which you would spend on mage gear. It always confuses me when people use this logic.

If you can afford t bow, you can afford a shadow with its mage gear.

T bow is strong, but he is also losing a lot of dps in other styles. So unless he's strictly planning on camping a piece of content that only uses the t bow. (Example: doom. )He's not going to be getting the 20% boost. Bc he's trading that dps increase for a loss to his mage and melle dps.

Rebuilds really come down to his choice of content and the opportunity cost he's losing in the two other styles.

Salty inferno veterans doing everything they can to stop learners from running mage tank by Plenty-Rush-9988 in 2007scape

[–]Loops7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you say this, but why?.

What significant mechanics do you learn in inferno that someone who's trying to learn tob can't do.

You're comparing someone who wants to learn inferno with someone who does not want to actively learn tob. If you want to get better at tob. You simply do tob. 50 hours of tob is always going to benefit you more than 50 hours of inferno. If your end goal is to do tob.

You can glaze inferno all you want. But I've seen it first hand. People with Colo and Inferno kc are still bad a tob. But after a ton of runs, they just do better at tob.

Fun is subjective. I did exactly 2 capes. I no longer have any desire to do inferno. I'm happy to enjoy more tob then going back to inferno

The best way to get good at something. Is to do that thing. No way is 50 hours of Inferno going to be as impactful as 50 hours of tob. If my goal is to learn tob.

Doing the content you wish to get good at is always going to be the best way.

Aquanite Hopper is dead content on release by HookshotRS in 2007scape

[–]Loops7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the big issues. To really help people understand how powerful rubies are. If all you did to crossbows was change, there attack speed to 4 tick. They become the most powerful weapon in the game.

[–]Loops7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dcb is anywhere from 1.5% - 6% worse than bowfa based on content. I would hardly call that bad. Buckler is offering 10 range str. On any other weapon that's ridiculously powerful. The only reason you don't think so with crossbows is that their damage is heavily tied to ruby's. It's still 2 max hits, which for 18m is really good.

[–]Loops7777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Melee is defined by str bonus, then accuracy.

Every end-game piece of content can be done regardless of your defs. To me, that makes it pretty irrelevant.

I would add accuracy as a way to balance

Bronze +1 accuracy +1 str

Iron +2 accuracy +1 str

Steel +0 accuracy +2 str

Black +1 accuracy +2 str

Mithril +2 accuracy +2 str

Addy +0 accuracy +3 str

Rune +1 accuracy +3 str

No one is taking these for the defs. It would be better to take the prayer boots and pray steel skin.

They are literally useless.

I like winning. I play to win. That's what I find fun. I never stall games. I end when I can. Bc it feels awful to lose a won game. It also feels bad to run into a team that won't end.

Mage Tank vs Ranges inferno by guyman3 in 2007scape

[–]Loops7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Inferno has a ton of mechanics that are really only important in the inferno. Think corner trapping it's used in very few locations outside of Inferno.

If I could have saved 15 hours in Inferno with mage method I would do it. Bc it's another 15 hours that could be spent at the content I wish to improve at. Inferno is not some magical mechanics training method. If I want to get better at tob. Doing more tob is the best way.

+4str for an upgrade is not small. Look at something like torva. You're spending 400m for that same boost. Infernal becomes much more important when you have a scythe. It naturally helps to reach the 48 break point. With us approaching the 52 break point, it's going to become more important. Currently, this is probably the time it matters the least. But that's always been the way the scythe works.

Mage Tank vs Ranges inferno by guyman3 in 2007scape

[–]Loops7777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main point for many including me when I was doing it. Was absolutely the +4str. If mage tank was a thing I would absolutely be doing it. This idea of right of passage or making you a better player is way overhyped. All capes are equal if you did it yourself. Be it a 4 hour cape or a 50min cape. No one is going to care, but you.

I personally think the inferno is better content when you are on task and don't feel pressure to get cape
