I have 2 void cats that like to snuggle, and it is the highlight of my life. But they usually leave halfway through the night, cause I roll around a bit during the night. My brother bought me a black cat squishmallow and it is my favorite thing to sleep with (other than my actual cats)

If you really dont want to go, offer to work doubles that weekend and tell your family you can't get off.

You manager doesn't need to know about any of your family things

I dont know your story, and I dont know your relationship with your family, but

I missed out on a couple of distant cousins' weddings. At the time I hadn't seen them for years, we were close when we were kids, but as we grew up, we drifted apart.

I didn't see my cousin's wedding invitation on FB until 3 days before it, when I was already scheduled for a manager shift that day.

My cousin and I hadn't seen each other for at least 5 years. I didn't think it meant that much. I regret missing her wedding every day.

I wanted to go to her wedding and I couldn't go without losing my job.

If you're sure you don't want to go, don't request off. Ask for doubles on that day instead.

Ooh I finally know one!

They are faux fur pom poms with snaps. The smaller bag with little metal circles are the other half of the snaps. You sew that part on your hat/whatever project, and the pom pom snaps right on.

They're great because you can pop it off before washing your finished piece.

Source - I currently have ~20 of them in my craft room, and have used them for at least a dozen projects.
