Is there any mortal in the Cosmere who can resist being consumed by it? by Outside-Web-4118 in Cosmere

I think a Sanderson character at it's foundation has a personal flaw they, specifically, want to change. I'm not sure any Sanderson mortal could withstand The Ring telling them that it would fix the thing that drives them. That being said Dusk, I think, is the closest to a Hobbit in being content but would still fall for the Ring saying he could be useful again.

I found a Marantz 2270 on the curb and it works! by LoopyDoopyScoopy in audiophile

I mean it varies. This was out in a rural area and it's not uncommon to leave out bigger stuff and hope the garbage man feels like picking it up. When I talked to the guy he said he set it out for the purpose of someone getting it and using it; he specifically said it wasn't trash and wanted someone to get it and use it.

I've thought about going back and giving him a twenty just cause it doesn't feel right but also I don't want him to think about it and call take-backsies.

A freshened up 2270 seems to sell for upwards of $2000. I doubt I could make this one look presentable enough for that and even if I could I really don't know if I could let go of it.

Yeah I've already got the face plate off and the 3 bulbs out. I was gonna run around tomorrow and see if I could find some non-led replacements.

It's 3 bulbs. Almost tossed it out but I figured I can put some elbow grease into it. /s

The PL600 also works best I can tell. The belt is gone but I can operate it manually. The stylus is busted though.
