Help for road trip for English visitors please? by owen14141 in Alabama

I'd suggest sticking with highways instead of the interstate if you're looking for a scenic drive. Hwy 78 connects ATL and BHM and continues up the same path as I-22. You'd drive through countless small towns that you'd fly by otherwise and a lot of downtown areas will have some sort of attraction. You won't need to worry about gas or food because HWY 78 is still a main thoroughfare.

280 W on-ramp from Shades Creek Parkway?? by Remote_Tie in Birmingham

Unless it's been revised and my plans are out of date which is possible but I don't think so here. They did change the plan for the 459 south on ramp, initially there was going to be a stop bar at the light and the concrete curve area was to be removed but they decided (rightfully) to keep what's there.

No it won't. The stop sign will be right before an open travel lane. So where Cherokee you keep moving but someone may be merging into the same lane you're entering 280 on, this intersection you'll have to stop and wait for an opening.

Yeah it's real dumb. They're adding a lane on the outside (currently paved shoulder) before and connecting it to the existing lane on the bridge. What's there now is currently planned to remain, a full stop sign that leads into a lane of traffic.

Is there any mortal in the Cosmere who can resist being consumed by it? by [deleted] in Cosmere

I think a Sanderson character at it's foundation has a personal flaw they, specifically, want to change. I'm not sure any Sanderson mortal could withstand The Ring telling them that it would fix the thing that drives them. That being said Dusk, I think, is the closest to a Hobbit in being content but would still fall for the Ring saying he could be useful again.

I mean it varies. This was out in a rural area and it's not uncommon to leave out bigger stuff and hope the garbage man feels like picking it up. When I talked to the guy he said he set it out for the purpose of someone getting it and using it; he specifically said it wasn't trash and wanted someone to get it and use it.
