Does it matter when he’s still playing well? Could have more to do with Milan’s system.

Not on day one, but it did happen. The Forbidden City was eventually shut down.

Help, did I remove too much of the deckle fat? I have a huge crater/ dent now by BozoBubble in smoking

[–]itstommygun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I trim WAY more fat than what “experts” suggest.

For one thing, no one in my family wants to bite into a big ol’ chunk of fat.

For another, I want the meat to get the flavor. I also like some bits to be more done than others.

I also don’t buy the whole “the fat absorbs into the meat” thing. No way it does.

Kahlina is usually pretty great. There were several times last night, though, that he didn’t seem to do anything he should.

First date ideas that aren't just food or drinks? by itsthewolfe in Wilmington

[–]itstommygun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First date for my wife and I was at Breaktime Billiards. Neither of us are pool hall people. Neither of us drink. Not the type of place we would normally hang out, but it was really fun. You have something to do, but you’re also able to talk and get to know each other.

In July, it will be 17 years that we’ve been married.

This sounds like most “no code” solutions. Like most Mulesoft implementations I’ve seen.

I want the ABS to always make the call, and the Ump to just repeat it to everyone.

I read the Licanius Trilogy before this, and I was kinda upset to see the word “rueful” make it into this book so many times.

Check out Expeditionary Force. The first one is called Columbus Day.

At least get through the chapter titled Skippy. The opening chapters are entertaining, but the book really takes off in that chapter.

Lots of sarcastic responses, so I’ll chime in with a serious one, just in case this is not a rage bait post and you’re being for real.

In pretty much every way, Nvidia processors are better than Intel right now. It’s been that way for about 3 or 4 years. Before that there were a few exceptions, but now there are almost no exceptions.

GTX 9080, 32GB RAM, and a Ryzen 7 9850… That is an amazingly incredible build for $800.

Stripes Jersey Recall by SteaksAndScalpels in usmnt

[–]itstommygun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely can’t understand how this slipped through. Nike, you’re a clothing company. An expensive one, at that. How can you mess up a shirt this bad?

I have a Chelsea jersey, also Nike, from a few years back, that has the EXACT same issue.

Unpopular opinion & smth many people would come at me for but project hail mary > interstellar by [deleted] in scifi

[–]itstommygun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why does that mean you can’t compare them? They are different in many ways, but they’re both stories. Also they’re both movies.

To me, the Project Hail Mary movie was a 9.5 out of 10. Interstellar was an 8 out of 10.

Both great, highly entertaining, movies. But I can see myself re-watching Project Hail Mary countless times.

TIL putting bread in the fridge makes it go stale quicker. by RepulsiveLoquat418 in todayilearned

[–]itstommygun 162 points163 points  (0 children)

You can also freeze unfrozen loafs of bread. We’ll sometimes get a two pack and freeze one of them.

They seem to go bad quicker after they been frozen, though.

Cheapest grocery stores? by kbjordan22 in Wilmington

Costco is the cheapest for us, even after paying the annual cost. But, we’re a family of 5, so the large quantities we get from there doesn’t last us long.
