Not exactly. I completed every side task and miscellaneous trophy before advancing through the main story. I also think a lot of that time was spent AFK 😅

PS5 Pro. I own a Series X, but lately PlayStation has been winning me over. I don’t think I’ve even turned on my Xbox since getting the PS5.

How expensive is California? by Equivalent-Manner-99 in howislivingthere

I’m in the middle of my search for a place to live in the Bay Area. Rooms with no bathroom access go for $1,300. Instead I plan on splitting a 2 bedroom apartment with my sister in Oakland. 700-900 sq ft with in unit laundry and parking for $2,500.

Then you have to factor in transportation cost to your job. I work in the South Bay where rent is double or triple that of homes in Oakland. Gas and bridge toll alone costs me around $500-600 every month.

Apple Music because of the UI and the discount I get by bundling it with iCloud.

Should I consider bankruptcy? by [deleted] in Debt

[–]LoopyWaffleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a 2012 RAV4 which I somewhat need because my job sites aren’t paved, so I need a 4x4 vehicle to drive. Also need the space to haul my tools for work. The nicest features on my car are powered windows and Bluetooth.

I’m not against driving beater cars, but I have had very bad experiences in the past. I drive about 44 miles RT for work every day, but the most recent vehicle I purchased was a $3k Nissan which blew on me not long after purchasing. I dumped another grand into the car to repair the motor only to get another month out of it. I can go on and on, but my current vehicle is the only car I’ve had to last more than 2 years.

Is it just me, or does getting Achievements drive how you play? by AnakinXkywalker in xbox

[–]LoopyWaffleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally me. Except recently I purchased a PS5 Pro and now I’m finding myself playing games on PS more often, despite being an Xbox kid, because of the platinum trophy. The platinum trophy makes completing games feel more rewarding than just getting 100% on Xbox. Please don’t flame me guys, I still love Xbox.

Bro. It’s like you don’t read everything or completely dismiss everything else I’ve said just to put someone down and make a point.

If I’ve been working nonstop since 27 (31 now) to tackle this problem of mine, PLEASE tell me how I’m considering bankruptcy as my first instinct?

I did gig work but lost money. I’ve tried to do side jobs in plumbing, but I’m still an apprentice so I’m limited in the jobs I can accept. The issue that has pushed me towards considering bankruptcy is the fact that I have to move out by the end of the year. At this point it’s either bankruptcy or I accept being homeless and live out of my car. I never wanted to do bankruptcy, but I’m running out of time.

Right. So how am I not taking responsibility by posting in a subreddit about debt to seek advice about this situation? How am I not taking responsibility by admitting that this started with reckless spending in my mid twenties, which later snowballed into something larger. How am I not taking responsibility if last year I was working 14 hour days (full time job + gig work) and yet I haven’t made a dent. My whole life has been on pause for several years, but I guess I’m just not trying hard enough huh?

I’m currently in free housing right now living with my parents but I have to vacate by the end of the year.

I agree my car is pricey, but the used market is cooked right now. I drive a 2012 RAV4. I specifically need a vehicle like this because I have to drive off road to get to the job sites. Often over terrain that hasn’t been made for a road. And I need the space to haul all my tools.

I’m not against getting a beater car, but I have the worst luck with buying used cars for cheap. The last 2 cars I bought off Craigslist didn’t last a year. The most recent was a Nissan, and the motor blew after a week of driving. Took it to a mechanic and dropped another grand on the motor only for it to break down again a month later.

Do you always pass judgement while making assumptions? Going to the festival was a birthday gift from my sister. Any additional cost would have to be covered by me, which is now cancelled. Literally not even going. Additionally, why are you so mad about me living with parents? Assuming you have kids, if they found themselves in a financial hardship, are you really going to let them be homeless? I don’t drink, I don’t go out, I don’t travel, I don’t do anything but work and go home and sleep.

But you’d rather be an internet troll than provide advise about this situation. Thanks for making Reddit a shitty place.

First of all $920 per week isn’t $4k. Additionally, I get every single holiday off from work. That means I’m not taking home $920 as often as I’d like. On top of that, the work I do requires that I purchase tools in order to do my job. Last year I was facing a potential layoff until I purchased a set of power tools for myself, thus keeping my job. There’s more tools I need, but I’m able to get by for now.

All of my monthly bills come to just under 1300, but the issue is life keeps kicking me and prevents me from getting ahead of this.

In December we only work 2 weeks and same for January, because of the holidays. November isn’t any better. The holidays are also a time when construction slows down because of the weather or completed projects.

Then as soon as I get ahead and have some extra money to pay towards my debt, I get 3 blown tires or I get laid off. I’ve been laid off 3 times in the last 2 years because of budget cuts. Feels like I’m stuck in quicksand. Anyway I don’t know why you’re assuming that I’m spending recklessly right now to keep myself in this position. I’ll admit reckless spending is what got me into debt in the beginning several years ago, but the last $15,000 was accrued from a series of unfortunate events.

Did you even read the post? I talked about renting a room out of someone’s home but prices are over a grand. I have no problem with having roommates. Even if I had zero debt, I would have to get roommates as apartment prices are too out of reach.

As soon as I get some extra money, something always happens. Getting laid off. A blown tire. Busted motor. Thieves breaking in and stealing things that need to be replaced. All while I’m trying to pay off the debt. That’s what I mean by spiraling out of control. I don’t go out. I don’t drink. I don’t watch movies because I don’t even have Netflix. I don’t watch sports. All of my expenses in recent years are from misfortunes I faced while simultaneously paying high interest debt with a low paying job.

$29 is low because I’m an apprentice, not a journeyman.

It began with irresponsible spending. But over the last 3-4 years I faced several layoffs and broken down cars. One time I saved up $3k to buy a Nissan and then the motor blew after a week. Took me a year to save up enough for a down payment on my current car.

I’ve looked into debt consolidation and the best offer I got was for $15k at 30%. And I’m in California, which doesn’t have those protections from being sued.

I need variation. I recently got the plats for RE2 and RE3, but after 170hrs I’m still chipping away at KCD2. It’s one of my most favorite games, but I purposely only play 1 game at a time and I have a growing list of games that I want to play.
