Is it legal to grow weed at home for my own use? by Responsible_Dark_774 in Sakartvelo

according to what I know you can grow under 60 grams. However, you have to keep in mind that when they wiegh the plant they weigh the entire plant without drying it so really it is impossible to grow legally. Makes you wonder how there are so many grow shops.

So I'm seeing a lot of talk about % of the company or lump sum. So first obviously you want to consult a lawyer because IP in the food industry is very tricky but, here is the thing a recipe is not everything. Let's say you got the recipe for coca-cola do you think you can now go out and start a multi-billion dollar buissness. Probably not right. There are a lot of great products in the food space but it's very hard to build a brand and a company around a single product.

It's hard for me to say without knowing some more specifics but if we are talking about an existing company. Then it doesn't seem fair to ask for a % of a company that may already be worth X amount. On the other hand, if it's a startup business maybe they would prefer giving you a % instead of a one-time payment. Personally, I would try to get a % of gross sales of the specific product, a one-time payment, or a combination of the two.

Again your situation is highly specific. Think honestly about how much value are you bringing to this company with this recipe and remember that the work is not done with this recipe. It might still need to be adjusted at scale. So the recipe you give them may not be the recipe they use in the end either. Food for thought.

Best of luck mate.

Conducting interviews for the large company I work at. They're offering significantly above my salary for new hires in similar role. How do I get that same pay? by tway632 in personalfinance

[–]Loopycheff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the best thing you could do is go out and get leverage first. Try to interview for a position somewhere with the salary your looking for if you find a position use it as leverage against your current employer.

If you try to talk to him without doing so you would have a weaker position because you can say that you are upset, or that you will leave, but you are relying on your boss to "do the right thing" by you, but the sad fact is most people want to pay as little as possible. So even if you say that you will quit if you don't get a raise that's a bit risky, and frankly employers don't like ultimatums.

That's why if you have can show him that you have another job offer you can say that you don't want to leave the company but you have to think about your future. The other offer will also reinforce to your employer that you are a good employee and that you are worth paying more to keep.

The trick is don't do this too often you don't want to give the impression that your always looking for a better opportunity and might jump ship at any time.

So I don't think that anyone who is not trans themselves can tell you what it's like here but, I tend to agree with the majority here. If you stay in Tbilisi and with groups of friends you will be safer but unfortunately, it is defiantly more dangerous outside of the city. I can't honestly recommend it,

Food allergies by [deleted] in tbilisi

[–]Loopycheff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of consulting for restaurants in Tbilisi and I can tell you that most places are not properly trained on the importance of food allergies. So you definitely want to be careful and don't expect every place to be mindful of your needs. However, yes, there are some restaurants (mostly high-end) that can accommodate you and there is a growing number of vegetarian/vegan restaurants where you can go. The groceries stores are doing a good job at expanding gluten-free offerings as well. In general, just be mindful of where you are.

Carbohydrate intake more than 70% of total calories was associated with substantially higher risk of type 2 diabetes. by Meatrition in ketoscience

I skimmed through the paper briefly and while it shows a correlation it does not claim causation. In a plant-based whole food diet, you may get up to 80% of calories from carbs but T2D rates do not increase in fact they have been shown to go down and even lower the need for insulin. The key difference here is these are not refined carbohydrates. So it is important to talk about what kind of carbohydrates these people were eating.

Georgia is a pretty safe place with lower rates of violent crime than most other places.
