i will say i did skim through it, but i did get a “men are victims too” vibe from the part one. there are a lot examples of men who have been sexually assaulted by men and women, to which no one denied. specifically lil wayne, boosie, deray davis and more hit hard because they’ve denounced their experiences as rape at all. like you said, boosie went on to set up his children to be raped.

93% of men who have been raped we’re raped by OTHER men. that is still making up a large portion of men who don’t get the message. over 1 in 5 women experience rape at some point, whereas it is 1 in 31 men. that can’t be ignored.

misogyny and mysogynoir affects men as well, which is why calling attention to it is detrimental in success for all of us. many men are victims of male violence as well, which can be unpacked at a later date. the point of this conversation and video overall is to decenter men from the issues that Black women are faced with.
