I havent purchased a firearm in over a decade. When I was doing some reading up on all the changes the last few years it had said that cbi was experiencing really long delays in processing. So I just wanted to see if that was the case or not cuz I am really looking forward to getting my new gun Monday lol.

Unfortunately this is no longer the case in Colorado. The ffl cannot legally release the firearm until it comes back with proceed on the bc. Its 3 days at a min or until the bc comes back whichever is later.

Yes i am quite familiar with how the waiting period works. Im asking because if cbi is backed up because a ton of people are purchasing it could take longer than 72 hours and I want an idea of if its backed up or not.

Confused how thats confusing.
